General Notes: This system is certified with Solaris 10 10/09.
It is certified with the following components:
- Emulex 8GB FC CIOv dual port expansion card(IBM 46M6140)
- Emulex Virtual Fabrice Adapter CFFh(IBM 49Y4235)

Solaris 10 10/09 does not have native support for "Emulex Virtual Fabric Adapter (49Y4235)" and need patches 141877-07 and 144189-02 for it to be configured in Solaris 10 10/09.
Emulex Virtual Fabric Adapter was configured in pNIC mode for system certification. vNIC mode has not been used.

Non-standard BIOS Settings:
1. There is no support for UEFI in Solaris. Booting/Installing over the net is accomplished through the legacy interface.
To configure an interface for legacy support:
Select Setup as the system is booting -> Select System Settings ->
Select Network -> Select PXE Configuration -> Select Port ->
Go to the Enable PXE item -> Select Legacy Support

2. By default the vNIC is set to "Enable". It needs to be changed to "Disable" to configure into pNIC.
To change vNIC state to Disable:
Select Setup as the system is booting->Select System Settings->
Select Emulex NIC Configuration Utility->Enter->
Select Emulex OneConnect Oce10102-N-X, NIC/TOE,v1.1a11,Port 0->Select vNIC and enter to choose Disable
