Use the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Mobile app to perform these tasks:
The first time you use EPM Mobile, create a connection to the application. You can use this connection whenever you use the app.
Tip: Depending on your deployment, you may need to use a tool like VPN to connect to your network before creating or using the connections in the app.
1. Tap Configure Connection.
2. Enter a user name and password. For Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service, enter the domain. Domain is not required for other products.
3. Enter the URL for your environment, either on-premise or cloud. The URL must be appended by /workspace and must not include a trailing / character.
·
On-premise: Use this format,
replacing server and portnumber with your server and port and
appending it with /workspace.
https://server:portnumber/workspace
· Cloud: Enter the URL provided for your cloud service, appending it with /workspace.
Tip: On iOS, tap the right arrow (>) to tab to the URL field.
4. Tap Save.
5. Tap an application, and then tap Next.
6. Tap the application to begin working with it.
1. Create a connection to the application as described in the previous topic.
2. Enter your user name and password. For Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service, enter your domain. Domain is not required for other products. On iOS, tap the back arrow to access the Password field.
3. Tap Sign In.
4. Tap the application.
You can modify a connection.
1. Sign in and open an application.
2. Tap the Springboard button to the top right.
3. Tap Settings and then Reconfigure.
4. Modify the sign in credentials and the URL, and then tap Save.
1. Ensure that you are connected.
2. Tap the Springboard button to the top right, and then Settings.
3. Tap Edit Session Timeout, and then enter the setting.
Take the tour to check out key features.
1. On your mobile device, tap EPM, and then tap Product Tour.
2. At the end of the tour, tap Explore. Then tap an application to explore the supported features.
Tip: You can explore some of the key features using the sample applications provided. Because a server connection is not used, only some functionality is supported.
If you tap Vision to open the sample Planning application, you see the Filters page, where you specify the point of view. Select the scenario and version to use. See “Filtering Planning Units”.
To exit the tour, tap Skip Tour or Finish.
Perform these steps to ensure that you are working with the most recent metadata and metadata access settings.
1. Open the application. On the Actions page tap the grey point of view bar.
2. Tap Refresh Filter Values, and then tap Done.
You can filter planning units by changing the scenario and version that determine the budget context. You can also filter by planning unit status (for example, Under Review) and sub- status (for example, Invalid Data).
1. Open the application. On the Actions page tap the point of view bar.
2. To ensure that your recent metadata and metadata access settings are up to date, tap Refresh Filter Values.
3. Tap the scenario or version to change, and then tap the back button by the application name.
4. Tap Status, tap a status, and then tap the back button.
5. Tap Substatus, tap a sub status, and then tap the back button.
6. Tap Done.
Access planning units to view information such as their amount, reviewers in the promotional path, and any comments made to date.
1. Open the application. Planning units that require you to take action are displayed with their current status and budget amount on the Actions page.
2. Tap planning units to view their Details pages that display the requested budget, current status, and other information such as history and comments.
3. To view the individuals who have reviewed the planning unit or will review it, tap Promotional Path.
Promoting a planning unit passes it to the next reviewer in the promotional path, and makes that reviewer the planning unit owner. Promote a planning unit to indicate that you agree with the budget requested. Promoting a planning unit changes its status to Under Review.
1. Open the application, and perform a task:
· To promote one planning unit, tap the planning unit.
· To promote multiple planning units, tap Select, tap each planning unit, and then tap Next.
2. Tap the action button.
3. Tap Promote, enter comments, and then tap Submit.
Only the last person in a planning unit’s promotional path can approve the planning unit. Approving a planning unit indicates that you agree with the budget amount requested. You can approve individual planning units or approve multiple planning units simultaneously.
1. Open the application, and perform a task:
· To approve one planning unit, tap the planning unit.
· To approve multiple planning units, tap Select, tap to select the planning units, and then tap Next.
2. Tap the action button.
3. Tap Approve, enter comments, and then tap Submit.
Reject planning units if budget modifications are required by the previous owner. Rejecting a planning unit changes its status to Not Signed Off. You can reject planning units individually or reject multiple planning units simultaneously.
1. Open the application, and perform a task:
· To reject one planning unit, tap the planning unit.
· To reject multiple planning units, tap Select, tap to select the planning units, and then tap Next.
2. Tap the action button.
3. Tap Reject, enter any comments, and then tap Submit.
If an approved planning unit has not received final sign- off, administrators can reopen it to make changes.
1. Open the application, and perform a task:
· To reopen one planning unit, tap the planning unit.
· To reopen multiple planning units, tap Select, tap to select the planning units, and then tap Next.
2. Tap the action button.
3. Tap Reopen, enter comments, and then tap Submit.
Freezing a planning unit makes all related data in descendant planning units read only but does not change ownership of any planning unit.
1. Open the application, and perform a task:
· To freeze one planning unit, tap the planning unit.
· To freeze multiple planning units, tap Select, tap the planning units, and then tap Next.
2. Tap the action button.
3. Tap Freeze, enter comments, and then tap Submit.
Unfreezing planning units makes them writeable. Only the owner of a frozen planning unit can unfreeze it. Anyone else must take ownership of the planning unit in Planning's tablet mode.
1. Open the application.
2. To unfreeze one planning unit, tap the unit, and then tap the action button on the Details page. To unfreeze multiple planning units, tap Select, tap the planning units, and then tap Next.
3. Tap Unfreeze, enter comments, and then tap Submit.
Only the current owner or an administrator can modify data or take action on a signed-off planning unit. Ownership does not change when a planning unit is signed off.
1. Open the application.
2. To sign off on one planning unit, tap the planning unit. Then, on the Details page, tap the action button. To sign off on multiple planning units, tap Select, tap to select the planning units, and then tap Next.
3. Tap Sign Off, enter comments, and then tap Submit.
When you open an application, the system displays your default process control Scenario, Year, and Period from the server. You can change the values to view different process control units. You can also select other filter values such as Phases, Review level, and Pass/Fail.
1. Open the application, and then tap the point-of-view bar below the logo.

Access process units by entity; entities are organized by process control values.

2. Tap an entity group to display entity details.
You can use the Search feature to quickly find entities. You can enter full or partial names on which to search. The system returns results based on the current filter and entities containing the specified text.
1. Open an application.
2. From the Actions page, in the Search bar, enter the full or partial entity name.
3. Tap Done.
1. Open the application, and then tap an entity. Pass/Fail status is displayed by default.
2. Tap History.
3. Optional: If the History page contains an attachment for supporting documentation, tap to open the file.
4. Optional: On iOS, if AirDrop is enabled, from the open file, tap the action button in the upper-right corner, and then email or print the file.

In Tax Provision applications, you can filter Financial Management process units. Use Close Manager to centrally monitor all financial period end tasks and provide a visible, automated, repeatable system of record for running these activities. You can perform these financial close tasks anytime, anywhere with EPM Mobile:
The Actions page lists the tasks assigned to you. A blue dot indicates that you need to enter data for this task before you can perform an action on it.
1. Open an application and view your tasks and alerts on the Actions page.
2. Tasks are marked that need attention.
3. Tap tasks to view their Details pages and then tap Next.
1. To filter the list, tap Filters, and then tap the attributes you want to filter on.
2. Tap Back to select another attribute.
Alternatively, to display Alert details from the Details page of the Task, tap the tasks that have a blue dot (a blue dot indicates that you need to enter data for this task before you can perform an action on it). Then scroll down and tap Alerts.
3. Tap Done to go back to the Actions page.
To view details on the Actions page, tap a task.
1. On the Details page, tap Attributes.
2. Tap an attribute.
A blue dot indicates that you need to enter data for this attribute before you can perform an action on it.
3. Enter the Attribute value or answer questions, and then tap Back.
1. On the Details page, tap Questions. The count on the top of the screen indicates the number of questions.
A blue dot indicates that you need to enter an answer for this question before you can perform an action on the task.
2. Enter the answer, and then tap Next to continue to the next question, or tap Back to go back to Details page.
1. On the Details page, tap an entity.
2. On the Entity page, tap to open an entity document.
1. On the Details page, tap Add Comment.
2. Enter your comment and tap Post.
1. From the Details page, tap Actions.
This button is deactivated if the task has required questions or attributes that have not been entered (indicated by a blue dot).
2. To perform actions on multiple tasks and alerts:
a. From the Actions page, tap Select.
b. Tap the radio button next to each item for which you want to perform an action.
c. Tap Next to display the items and the Action button.
d. Tap Action and select Submit, Approve, or Reject. The action applies only to selected items in the appropriate status. Tap Submit, Approve, or Reject as appropriate.
Use EPM Mobile to perform these tasks on the go:
The Worklist contains requests assigned to you and requests where you have participated or been notified. You can filter the Worklist by a view category (such as Overdue) and by request age.
1. Open an application and view the requests in the Worklist.
2. Tap Filter and then tap Filter or Age to select different values.
3. Tap Back to change another filter. Tap Reset Filters to reset to the default settings.
4. Tap Done.
1. From the Worklist, tap a request.
2. Tap the down arrow to view additional request properties.
3. Perform any task:
· Tap Items to view the items in the request, and then tap an item to view item details.
· Tap Comments to view comments for the request.
· Tap Participants to view or email participants of the request.
· Tap Activity to view all activity for the request.
Invalid requests are noted in the Worklist with an x. Invalid request items are noted within a request with the same icon.
1. From the Worklist, tap an invalid request.
2. On the Items tab, tap the x on a request item.
3. From Item Details, tap the down arrow to view the error message.
From the Worklist, tap a request, and then tap Claim.
1. From the Worklist, tap a request.
2. Tap the action button on the upper-right corner, and then tap Approve.
