Name of Product: Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.2Last Updated: 07-Jul-2014 This VPAT applies to only version 4.2. It does not apply to any versions of Oracle Solaris Cluster after this. This is a new version of Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.x, for Oracle Solaris 11. Oracle Solaris Cluster provides two User Interfaces. The principal UI is the command-line interface (CLI) which provides access to all features of the product including installation and configuration. Only this CLI provides an accessible interface. As of version 4.2 the product includes a new browser-based Graphical User Interface (GUI). The GUI provides access to most daily management operations of the core product, but not yet to the full CLI feature set. Care has been taken to consider accessibility during GUI design, as described in this VPAT, but no claim is made that the GUI is fully accessible in this release. For an accessible interface the CLI must be used.
The 4.2 release contains minor bug fixes and the folowing major new features: Manager for Solaris Next (the GUI) Disaster Recovery (DR) Orchestration for Geographic Edition Support Secure Automated Installer for Oracle Solaris Cluster (OSC) Single node Solaris Cluster inside HA Logical Domain Guest Domains High Availability (HA) for Solaris kernel zones (solaris-kz) A number of additional agents are added, including EBS 12.2, BRM support on S11, Goldengate, Postgres support on S11, TimesTen support on S11 This VPAT does not cover the following product areas:
For the CLI the normal Solaris/shell accessibility configuration steps are appropriate. The GUI (official name "Oracle Solaris Cluster Manager") allows turning on/off accessibility user modes for Screen Reader, High Contrast and Large Font at application level only by editing the trinidad-config.xml file. Please refer to the section "Accessibility Support" in the OSC 4.2 Release Notes for detailed steps on how to edit this file. The information below describes this product's ability to support the applicable U.S. Section 508 standards, subject to Oracle's interpretation of those standards and the remarks in this document.
