Name of Product: Oracle BI Mobile - BI Mobile Application and BI Mobile App Designer 11.1.1.9Last Updated:17-Apr-2015This VPAT applies to only version 11.1.1.9. It does not apply to any versions of Oracle BI Mobile - BI Mobile Application and BI Mobile App Designer after this. The Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition product line provides two dedicated options to create and consume BI content through mobile devices. The Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile native application offering provides the ability to discover and consume business intelligence content that has been authored and assembled in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. It is available as both a universal Apple iOS based mobile application that runs on the Apple iPad and iPhone device delivered through the Apple iTunes store as well as a mobile App for Android available from the Google Play app store. The application provides an easy-to-use, secure, intuitive, and multi-touch, gestural interface for users to access and interact with business intelligence content such as analyses and dashboards. It also allows users to browse a catalog of business intelligence objects, selecting available reports or dashboards and displaying the output of this content on their mobile devices. Users can save Business Intelligence content on their devices for offline viewing as well as share their analysis with other users via email. With the release of 11.1.1.9 the Oracle Business Intelligence mobile offerings include the feature set referred to as the Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer as part of the core Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition foundation. The Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer combines business intelligence report authoring with third party mobile extensions allowing users to create and deploy purpose built business intelligence mobile applications without the addition of mobile enabling software. These mobile applications are delivered through mobile browsers including Chrome, Firefox and Safari and supports standard mobile operating systems including Apple iOS (7.0 and newer), Android (4.2 and newer) and Windows Mobile 8. The Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer is recommended to run on Apple iPads and iPhones, Google Nexus tablets and phones as well as Nokia based Windows phones and Microsoft Surface tablets. The Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile applications do not allow for the creation of content from mobile devices. Business intelligence content is created by other products such as Oracle Business Intelligence Interactive Dashboards, Oracle Business Intelligence Answers and Oracle Scorecard and Strategy Management following which the content is made available thorough mobile applications. Content creators and authors making use of these products must follow the accessibility best practices which can be found in the Accessibility Index of the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Users Guide. The Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer relies on extensions to the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition authoring tools, using browser based environments to allow users to assemble the applications. By leveraging Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, the accessibility standards supported by this product will be carried forward to the Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer. In run time mode, the Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer makes use of jQuery Mobile, (http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.2.0/docs/about/accessibility.html) and builds the accessibility techniques in concert with those available through this tool set. This document also covers the the Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer Trial Edition. This version of the Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer provides a subset of features of the overall product and is intended for users to discover the capabilities, experiment with features and determine if the product is a positive fit for their business needs. There is no migration path and the product is not intended to be used in production. From a user interface and accessibility perspective the Oracle Business Intelligence Mobile App Designer Trial Edition makes use of the same core features as the shipping product. The differences include a simplified installer, no integration with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and limited access to data sources. Accessibility can be switched on by enabling the "VoiceOver", "Zoom", or "White on Black" options in the "Accessibility" screen under the "General" settings of the iPad.
