Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
Maria Smith is Oracle’s executive vice president and chief accounting officer.
Maria is a champion for achieving an accelerated quarterly financial close using Oracle technology, which enables the company to release earnings in approximately 10 days. She also shares her experience in business transformation and best practices for an accelerated financial close with Oracle’s customers.
Since joining Oracle in 1999, Maria has held several positions, most recently serving as Oracle’s senior vice president and corporate controller from 2020 to 2022. She began her career with Ernst and Young and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Maria is a member of Oracle’s Environment Steering Committee and Oracle’s Finance Strategy Council. She is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion and has supported numerous mentoring programs internally and externally.
