The Oracle Primavera Unifier Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) configuration supports the Construction Industry Institute (CII) AWP data definition SR19. The AWP configuration helps you increase productivity, prevent project delays, and keep schedules on track. Built on the Unifier Accelerator base, the AWP configuration helps prevent obstacles for crews on projects by packaging all aspects of work together to automate constraint management and approval cycles.
The AWP configuration supports implementation of integrations with Primavera P6 EPPM, ERP systems, visualization solutions, and analytics.
Primavera Unifier’s advanced RESTful APIs support middleware solutions, including Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Consulting’s Platform Integration Framework (PIF), and your existing middleware solutions.
Oracle Construction and Engineering’s AWP configuration provides a consistent and structured approach to packaging work with the construction sequence, driving both engineering and procurement work by discipline. Any modifications to a work package are automatically captured and become part of the audit trail, so details such as which constraint was cleared and what may have been reconstrained are clearly communicated and become part of the project record.
Integrated processes, systems, and data are key to Oracle Construction and Engineering’s AWP configuration. Project stakeholders and AWP practitioners can manage and track material requisitions, purchase order line items, and supplier information by integrating the system of record, generally the ERP system. The procurement work package consolidates relevant information from the engineering work package (EWP), construction work package (CWP), and construction work area. When integrated, the Oracle AWP solution supports seamless data flow to minimize errors, rework, and administrative overhead.
The Oracle AWP configuration provides visibility into the package scope and schedule. AWP practitioners can see the relationships between scopes of work packages that contribute to a construction work package from a single view without having to move between screens or systems. Additionally, work packages follow a predefined, guided workflow process to ensure that constraints are identified and resolved prior to the workflow proceeding.
When the systems are integrated, relationship management is automated in terms of documentation, status and access, drawings, and specifications that support the scope of work within the context of the engineering work package (EWP). The EWP digitally informs the status of engineering readiness to the CWP, as well as the Primavera P6 schedule, so that project managers can transparently see what work has been completed thus far and how much work is remaining.
Relationships between installation work packages (IWPs) and construction work packages (CWPs) are managed, along with constraints associated with the IWP, through a system-generated audit log coupled with a workflow engine. All information needed to complete the scope of the IWP is organized within a single view. For the workface planner, the IWP is designed to be integrated with the 3D model so that IWP planning can be performed directly from the 3D user interface. The IWP also includes integrated data from the Primavera P6 schedule so that progress and status of the IWP can be reflected in the project schedule.

This tool provides a model of the asset, the construction work area (CWA) of that asset, and the detail of all underlying work packages. Other 3D visualization solutions could be introduced if required.
