Q: How is Oracle responding to the war in Ukraine?

A: Oracle stands with the people of Ukraine and against the unlawful attack on their country.

We join the international community in its appeal for peace and continued sovereignty of Ukraine.

Oracle’s operations in Ukraine remain active, and we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our employees and their families and to support our Ukrainian customers and partners.

Oracle has already donated US $1,000,000 to four non-profit organizations—the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Medical Corps, and World Central Kitchen—all of which are helping to relieve suffering and save lives by providing emergency medical services, food, and shelter to those in need.

In addition, Oracle is matching employee donations to humanitarian organizations and impacted employees in Ukraine. We are also providing Ukrainian employees with cash bonuses, housing options, and re-location services, as well as 24 hour / 7 days a week emergency support.

Q: My business is not in the war zone or trade restricted area, will my Oracle products, services and/or support be impacted?

A: For Oracle customers located outside of the war zone and trade restricted areas, Oracle’s products, services and/or support will not be impacted. Oracle is a global company and maintains robust business continuity and supply chain risk management programs. Our employee population size and geographic diversification provide an inherent resiliency advantage.

Q: Will the war impact Oracle’s supply chain?

A: For customers located outside of the war zone and trade restricted areas, Oracle’s supply chain will not be impacted. Oracle maintains a multi-sourcing strategy for the vast majority of our components and products to avoid delays that may impact customers. Oracle contractually requires suppliers to have business continuity plans in place with regular updates and reviews.

Q: What is Oracle’s business continuity and resilience management plan?

A: Oracle maintains a robust business continuity management program aligned with ISO 22301. Oracle takes an impact-based approach to business continuity management by designing preparedness and response plans that address the availability of our workforce, workplaces, technologies, and critical interdependencies. Oracle’s employee population size and geographic diversification provide an inherent resiliency advantage.

A: Oracle is aware that the armed operations in Ukraine were supported by cyber-warfare activities targeting Ukrainian organizations.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has stated, “While there are no specific or credible cyber threats to the U.S. homeland at this time, Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine, which has involved cyber-attacks on Ukrainian government and critical infrastructure organizations, may impact organizations both within and beyond the region.”
