Jupiter Shop Channel gains deeper insight into target segment and optimizes web marketing campaigns with Oracle Data Visualization Cloud Service

Jupiter Shop Channel is a direct marketing provider that operates “Shop Channel”—a TV shopping channel—in Japan. With over 20 years of experience, it sells a wide range of products including fashion, jewelry, cosmetics, electronics, and food products to Shop Channel viewers via its dedicated call center or online shopping site.

Previously, Jupiter Shop Channel received the majority of customer orders via the call center. This resulted in disparate data sources for customer information, orders, and website traffic, creating challenges to optimize marketing strategies. With rapid growth of smartphone users, Jupiter Shop Channel wanted to improve customer engagement by making it easier to perform comprehensive data analysis and support target campaigns.

Uncovered insight into the performance of different sales promotion email formats—including plain text and HTML—and mobile apps by leveraging powerful search, guided navigation, and filtering features to analyze and visualize the shopping pattern by devices (PC, smartphone, and tablet) and the apps used to complete customer orders

Allowed users to simply drag and drop attributes and view the best visualization for complex analysis without data science knowledge or IT department involvement to build a database
