Name of Product: Oracle Warehouse Builder 11.2.xLast Updated:28-Apr-2011This VPAT applies to only version 11.2.x. It does not apply to any versions of Oracle Warehouse Builder after this. Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) offers several interfaces for both updating and viewing information in its repository. For one of these - the Design Client - support for the applicable Section 508 standards is achieved though equivalent facilitation. The Design Client is a highly visual java user interface (UI) that employs editors to display information in different styles and at different levels of detail. Each editor has multiple panes and sometimes multiple tabbed panes where information is displayed in the most appropriate form to support different tasks. As a consequence the full information is not available in a single pane but distributed in a reductionist way across many panes. While it is convenient to move between these panels using a mouse it is difficult to navigate them using a keyboard, and further it is very easy to lose the overall context if the other panels are not viewable. For this reason, OWB provides a Design Browser and a Control Center Browser for accessing the same information rendered in HTML format, as well as a high level scripting language (OMB Plus) where all create / update / retrieve operations can be carried out using single commands; these have been coded to applicable Section 508 standards and provide a functional equivalent to the graphical UI. Creating, updating and linking objects, while difficult to achieve without using a mouse in the graphical UI, are very easy in the scripting language. The adminstrator must:
