Criteria | Supporting Features | Remarks (e.g., definition, equivalent facilitation, scope of support provided) |
1194.21(a) When software is designed to run on a system that has a keyboard, product functions shall be executable from a keyboard where the function itself or the result of performing a function can be discerned textually. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The product was tested for: - Ability to perform functions from the keyboard only using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this, e.g. via a connected Bluetooth keyboard for touch devices
- Logical movement of focus through the controls using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this, e.g. swiping on touch devices with the built-in screen reader
- Proper operation of unique keystrokes, including those listed in the product documentation
- Logical movement through the focusable components using only the keyboard, in an order that follows a meaningful sequence using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this, e.g. via a connected Bluetooth keyboard for touch devices, along with the built-in screen reader
|
1194.21(b) Applications shall not disrupt or disable activated features of other products that are identified as accessibility features, where those features are developed and documented according to industry standards. Applications also shall not disrupt or disable activated features of any operating system that are identified as accessibility features where the application programming interface for those accessibility features has been documented by the manufacturer of the operating system and is available to the product developer.
|
1194.21(c) A well-defined on-screen indication of the current focus shall be provided that moves among interactive interface elements as the input focus changes. The focus shall be programmatically exposed so that assistive technology can track focus and focus changes. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The product was tested for: - Visual indication of the location of the focus using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this, e.g. using the built-in screen reader
- User interface components have a programmatically associated name and role using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this
- State information, properties, and values are programmatically exposed for user interface components using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this
|
1194.21(d) Sufficient information about a user interface element including the identity, operation and state of the element shall be available to assistive technology. When an image represents a program element, the information conveyed by the image must also be available in text. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The product was tested for: - Images that convey information have meaningful alternative text using the appropriate platform-specific technique for ALT text
- Information shown in complex images such as charts is also available in an alternative textual form (e.g. a data table)
- Data tables include a summary or caption, programmatically connected with the table using the appropriate platform-specific technique for this
- Controls have an associated name
- Non-text characters are not used or have meaningful alternative text
- CAPTCHAs are not used
Exceptions: - Dropdowns and Saved Searches on all list pages may be misleading as these usually have a generic voiceover that says 'Listbox showing 0 items' instead of the option defaulted (e.g. 'My Open Leads') in the dropdown (Bugs #25109721, 25081972, 25081545)
- Sales Opportunities have a sales stage attribute which is represented in the form of a chevron diagram. The chevron UI element displays all stages in an opportunity lifecycle with the current sales stage highlighted. Tapping on this chevron element does not read out the sales stage the opportunity is currently in. (Bug #25175934)
- When selecting a product for a lead, opportunity or a deal registration; the product picker displays rows in the list that can do either of 2 actions: be selected or be drilled down into, to select a child product within that product. It can't be discerned in accessibility mode that a list row can be selected as well as drilled down into. (Bug# 25175983)
- In Analytics reports within the app, pop-ups that let users drill down within regions (say, a slice of a pie chart or a particular bar of a histogram) of a graph are not accessible (Bug# 25081598)
|
1194.21(e) When bitmap images are used to identify controls, status indicators, or other programmatic elements, the meaning assigned to those images shall be consistent throughout an application's performance. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The product was tested for: - Images and controls are used and identified consistently throughout the product
- Images that convey information have meaningful alternative text using the appropriate platform-specific technique for ALT text
|
1194.21(f) Textual information shall be provided through operating system functions for displaying text. The minimum information that shall be made available is text content, text input caret location, and text attributes. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The product was tested for: - Text information is provided based on the underlying OS environment.
|
1194.21(g) Applications shall not override user selected contrast and color selections and other individual display attributes. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The product was tested for: - Large-scale text and images of large-scale text have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1
- All other text and images of text have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1
- Response to the operating system display properties
|

- Information conveyed by color has a contrast ratio of at least 3:1
Exception - Sales Opportunities have a sales stage attribute which is represented in the form of a chevron diagram. The chevron UI element displays all stages in an opportunity lifecycle with the current sales stage highlighted in one color and past/future opportunities in a different color. Tapping on this chevron element does not read out the current sales stage the opportunity is in. (Bug #25175934)
|
