Oracle Named a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems for the 13th Time

By Derek Gittoes, VP of Supply Chain Management Product Strategy—Apr 22, 2020

Gartner has just released its 2020 Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems1 report, and we are honored to be positioned as a Leader once again. This is the 13th time we have been named a Leader in transportation management systems (TMS), and of 13 companies evaluated, we were placed based on our completeness of vision and ability to execute for Oracle Transportation Management Cloud – part of Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud. A complimentary copy of the report is available here, and a complimentary copy of the accompanying Gartner 2020 Critical Capabilities for Transportation Management Systems2 report is available here.

According to Gartner, “TMS technology is on the rise. The latest Gartner forecast on TMS, worldwide, estimates that the market is growing at a five-year CAGR of 11.12% (from 2018 to 2023). Factors such as the need to reduce costs; improve internal productivity, efficiency and customer service; increase visibility; and make better use of capacity are driving the growth of the market through 2022.”

To manage ever-increasing supply chain complexity, organizations are seeking the business-wide benefits delivered by increased agility and visibility across their supply networks. In addition, COVID-19 has magnified the need for highly resilient and streamlined supply chains, so essential goods and supplies can reach those who need them most without delay.

By harnessing the deep, real-time insights delivered by emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things and AI, Oracle Transportation Management Cloud provides organizations with the full breadth of capabilities they need to manage their supply chain’s transportation operations.

Combining ease-of-use with a complete set of solutions that support end-to-end business processes, Oracle Transportation Management Cloud helps organizations manage all transportation activity throughout their global supply chains. By offering broad capabilities including sourcing, planning, routing, inventory visibility, modeling, and fleet management, Oracle Transportation Management Cloud enables customers to reduce freight costs, optimize service levels, and automate processes so logistics operations can be run more efficiently.
