Janel Allen
Janel Allen Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, Omaha

Joining the organization in 2019, Janel Allen is the senior vice president and chief people officer at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Previously, Janel served as the CHRO for Creighton University where she spent nearly a decade developing her HR leadership skills. Prior to Creighton, Janel worked as director of HR for Sanford Health, and she began her career at Avera Health. Skilled in both healthcare and academic administration, she is an HR executive with deep experience in consulting and collaborating with leaders and teams to drive organizational success.

Janel holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and HR from South Dakota State University and a master’s degree of science in administration from the University of South Dakota. Ms. Allen is a member of the CHRO Roundtable within the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Omaha Human Capital Council, SHRM Executive Network, American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration, Children’s Hospital Association HR Executive Network, Human Resources Association of the Midlands, and Society of Human Resources Management. She holds certifications in both SHRM-CP and HRCI-PHR.

Beth Boettcher
Beth Boettcher Senior Vice President, HCM Sales, North America, Oracle Corporation

Beth Boettcher serves as Oracle’s senior vice president for HCM sales in North America. Beth first joined Oracle to lead Oracle Consulting’s transformation, something she has done successfully with other cloud businesses. In this role, she set and executed the strategy for making customers successful in adopting Oracle applications.

Prior to Oracle, Beth worked at Accenture for 19 years, pioneering its cloud consulting business. In the very early days of cloud, she established the first methodology used in the market to rapidly and predictably deploy software; deployed the first large-scale global SaaS solution; and helped lead the first project where a SaaS solution was integrated into a large enterprise. Working with a creative leadership team to accelerate growth and innovation, Beth played a pivotal role in regularly doubling annual business and shaping what is now Accenture’s Cloud First business with more than 15,000 employees.

Beth is an energetic, innovative, and collaborative leader who believes in rolling up her sleeves and diving into the heart of clients’ projects and the initiatives across her business. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a focus on marketing. She serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement and BriteCore.

Yvette Cameron
Yvette Cameron Senior Vice President, Global HCM Product Strategy, Oracle

Yvette Cameron is senior vice president of global HCM product strategy at Oracle. She is also a cofounder and board advisory member of Velocity Career Labs, the technology organization behind the Velocity Network Foundation (VNF), an industry consortium delivering the blockchain-powered Internet of Careers. Prior to her current work with Oracle, Yvette served as founder and principal analyst at NextGen Insights; senior vice president of global strategy at SAP SuccessFactors; general manager and vice president of learning and performance at Saba; vice president of product at Oracle; HCM industry analyst at Gartner; and vice president and principal analyst at Constellation Research. She’s an international speaker on innovations in HCM processes and technology and the future of work. Yvette holds a BA in mathematics and applied statistics.

Aaron De Smet
Aaron De Smet Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company

Aaron De Smet counsels leadership teams as they transform their organizations to improve performance, organizational health, speed, and agility. He is an expert on organizational design, corporate culture, leadership development, team effectiveness, capability building, and transformational change. Much of Aaron’s work focuses on helping large distributed organizations achieve growth, innovation, productivity, and organizational agility.

Before joining McKinsey, Aaron was an independent consultant and served as a research associate at the Institute for Behavior Resources. He has a PhD in social and organizational psychology from Columbia University where he specialized in organizational dynamics, culture, human resource management, leadership effectiveness, and strategic change.

Haley Harris
Hayley Harris Vice President, Human Resources and Planning, Ithaca College

Hayley Harris was appointed as the vice president for human resources (HR) and planning at Ithaca College in May 2019. Prior to joining Ithaca College, she served in progressively responsible, strategic HR roles at both Yale University and Cornell University. In these roles, she served as a strategic HR partner to campus leaders—helping to advance the university’s mission by providing comprehensive HR leadership in the areas of talent management, succession planning, recruitment and retention, compensation and classification, employee relations, and organizational development.

Among other accomplishments, Hayley served as the campus lead for training, communications, and change management to implement Workday as Cornell’s new HR information system; was the HR lead for establishing and developing global employment and operations policies and support at Cornell; and served as the HR lead for the 2014 Cornell presidential search, reporting directly to the Board of Trustees.

At Ithaca College, Hayley leads an innovative and collaborative division focused on best practices in contemporary HR and that comprises the functional areas of payroll services, training and development, employee benefits and work/life, student employment, compensation and workforce planning, and talent management. Hayley led the successful implementation of Oracle’s cloud-based HCM and payroll system in 2019, which enables the college to utilize best-in-class technology to drive data-based business decisions. She also has led planning efforts related to the implementation of the goals of the Ithaca Forever strategic plan—including being an employer of choice; serving as a national model for colleges committed to the values of diversity, equity and inclusion; and aligning the size of the workforce with the student population to ensure long-term sustainability for the college.

Hayley earned a BM from Boston University and MPhil from Yale and was certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 2006.

Shaakun Khanna
Shaakun Khanna Head, HCM Applications Strategy and Transformation, JAPAC, Oracle

An HR transformation expert in Asia, Shaakun Khanna is the head, HCM applications strategy and transformation at Oracle. Prior to joining Oracle, Shaakun was the managing director of Right Management in India. He is also the co-founder of Consentus Advisory, a specialty transformation consulting firm. In earlier roles, Shaakun was a leader at IBM Smarter Workforce and at Gallup Consulting where he served as head of the employee engagement and leadership development practice. He also held various leadership roles at the Tata Group and Manpower. Over the past two decades, Shaakun has worked with Fortune 500 clients from diverse industries across Asia and the Middle East, advising on digital HR transformation, talent management, organization design and development, employee experience, leadership development, and succession planning.

Shaakun graduated from Delhi University and further studied HR Consulting at Gallup University in the United States. He is an accredited executive coach and mentors business leaders across the region. Additionally, Shaakun is a master facilitator of consciousness-based leadership with the International Centre for Contemporary Consciousness.

Jacely Voon
Jacely Voon Chief People Officer, Fujifilm Business Innovation

Jacely Voon is the Chief People Officer at Fujifilm Business Innovation in Singapore where she leads an HR team and is responsible for systems that build enterprisewide employee engagement and talent development.

Jacely joined the company in 2012 as head of regional rewards and HR program management in Asia Pacific and held various senior leadership positions within the organization, the most recent being the Chief People Officer in Australia. Her areas of expertise include business partnering, cultural transformation, organizational design, and executive coaching. During the past few years, Jacely has been instrumental in leading multiple integration and transformation projects for Fujifilm Business Innovation by driving a people agenda, cultural change, and HR transformation for the business.

Jacely holds an MSc in HR management from University College in Dublin. She has great passion in making a difference to people and organizations through her skills and energy, as she believes that when people grow, the business will grow.

Ray Wang
Ray Wang Principal Analyst and Founder, Constellation Research Inc.

R “Ray” Wang (pronounced WAHNG) is the founder, chairman, and principal analyst of Silicon Valley-based Constellation Research Inc., a research and advisory firm which studies disruptive business and exponential technology trends.

Ray’s the cohost and cofounder of the widely watched DisrupTV, a weekly enterprise tech and leadership webcast that averages 50,000 views per episode. He’s also the author of the popular business strategy and technology blog A Software Insider’s Point of View that has received millions of page views per month. Wang also serves as a nonresident senior fellow at The Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center.
