Business challenges

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Jocata specializes in digital lending using credit automation, smart decisioning, and intelligent monitoring. Its highly configurable, purpose-built, low-code platform powers enterprise lending programs for large banks. It also operates in a B2B SaaS model to support embedded finance for fintechs, neobanks, and digital marketplace lending platforms.

Maintenance of Jocata’s legacy on-premises infrastructure required significant resources and challenged the company’s business expansion goals. It also needed continuous investment in security infrastructure to ensure that data was protected. Adhering to data privacy and compliance regulations associated with storing sensitive data on-premises was also difficult to navigate. To address these challenges, Jocata looked for a high-performance, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solution to meet its growing business demands.

Why Jocata chose Oracle

Jocata selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)  because it offered a high-performance cloud computing platform that was ideal for running mission-critical workloads. Company leaders knew OCI would provide a consolidated view of the company’s security posture via Oracle Cloud Guard, Oracle Key Vault, monitoring, logging, network security, and access controls. Also, OCI would seamlessly integrate with Jocata’s existing on-premises infrastructure, easing the migration of workloads and management of its overall IT environment.

Jocata now runs its complex scientific simulations on OCI 2X faster than what was possible with its legacy on-premises infrastructure.

Results

OCI Compute capabilities, powered by AMD processors, allow Jocata to run its complex scientific simulations 2X faster than what was possible with its previous cloud provider, resulting in significant time savings. The company used OCI File Storage as a fully managed elastic file system to migrate workloads to the cloud, paying only for the capacity it needed. OCI File Storage employs five-way replicated storage, located in different fault domains, to provide redundancy for resilient data protection.

While improving Jocata’s overall IT infrastructure, OCI allowed the company to reduce costs by 25% when compared to performance on its legacy on-premises infrastructure. After migrating to OCI, Jocata automated several critical processes and reduced time to market by 20%. Jocata’s partnership with Oracle helped the company scale IT infrastructure to demand, expand its customer base, and enhance user experience.

The support team at Oracle delivered proactive and powerful assistance, especially in the lift-and-shift migration of workloads from a private cloud to OCI. Partnering with Oracle improved Jocata’s business agility, scalability, and efficiency, all while keeping its costs down.
