Yamaichi Electronics offers a broad portfolio of connectors, test sockets, and interconnect systems that are used in a variety of products, including  laptops, medical imaging instruments, and automobile infotainment systems. The company wanted to replace obsolete legacy applications and provide support for current and future business models. It selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) because of its comprehensive management of business operations. After the implementation, Yamaichi Electronics eliminated manual activities and cumbersome Excel processes. It now directs manufacturing, supply chain, order processing, product development, procurement, accounting, and reporting on Oracle Cloud. The company also moved to Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM), which brought end-to-end traceability in its outside processing and contract manufacturing operations, significantly improving visibility of work in process and on-time delivery performance. With Oracle Cloud, the company gained a real-time view of revenue, margins, and inventory valuations, which helped improve financial and operational decision-making. Yamaichi worked with Oracle implementation partner Calfus to oversee the multiphase project and manage change across the organization.
