Oracle announced today that the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Kenya will offer Oracle Academy project management curriculum and Oracle technologies across Kenya. This collaboration with Oracle Academy aims to equip IEEE Kenya students with the skills, resources, and certifications needed to excel in project management, with a special emphasis on Oracle Primavera, an industry-leading project management software used in construction and engineering.

Oracle Academy will provide access to its comprehensive educational resources, including the Oracle Academy Primavera Project Management curriculum, which is designed to help students and professionals master project management principles and tools used widely across the global industry.

"This collaboration with Oracle opens up new opportunities for IEEE students in Kenya to access top-tier computer science and project management education,” said Tom Coughlin, IEEE President & CEO. “IEEE Kenya has done an excellent job in pioneering this collaboration with Oracle. By incorporating Oracle Primavera, we are giving future project managers and engineers the skills they need to thrive in key sectors such as construction and engineering.”

Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management will play a pivotal role in educating students to manage complex projects efficiently, from planning to execution. This software is widely used in fields such as engineering, construction, and manufacturing. Through hands-on curriculum and workshops, students will gain practical experience with Oracle Primavera for real-world project management, preparing them for key roles in the workforce.

"This timely collaboration bridges the gap between students and industry technology, bringing real-world tools into the classroom,” said David Bunei, Oracle Kenya Country Director. “By connecting education with industry needs, we are equipping the next generation to lead and thrive in technology fields. We are excited to partner with IEEE Kenya to bring Oracle Primavera and other Oracle cutting-edge technologies such as Oracle Cloud and Oracle APEX to their student congress. This collaboration will provide the learners with practical skills, critical in today's industries.”

In addition to Oracle Primavera, the collaboration will help educators teach in other key areas such as cloud computing, database management, Java programming, and data science. Students will also have the opportunity to earn globally recognized Oracle certifications, including those in cloud computing, significantly enhancing their employability. This collaboration highlights Oracle Academy’s commitment to supporting technology education. In addition, it demonstrates IEEE Kenya as a key player in advancing professional skills development in Kenya’s growing economy.
