Global food safety leader consolidates finance and supply chain processes on Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications
COLOMBES, France —January 31, 2022Kersia, one of the world’s largest providers of food safety and biosecurity solutions, has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications as part of a major IT modernization initiative to support the organization’s rapid expansion. With Oracle Cloud, Kersia will leverage the latest innovations in automation and analytics to simplify and streamline business processes, improve business visibility, and drive better decision-making
Kersia provides food safety added-value solutions at all stages of the food chain : food industry, animal farming, dairy production, water treatment,. It has a commercial presence in more than 120 countries and its services impact over 270,000 tonnes of finished products every year. The company’s rapid expansion over the last few years, including a series of acquisitions, required Kersia to reevaluate how it manages its core business processes so that it could quickly align the organization behind its growth plans, embrace new operational models, and scale its services. This led Kersia to replace its multiple on-premises ERP systems with Oracle Cloud Applications, which it selected for its built-in flexibility and ability to connect and standardize core business process on a single platform.
Kersia will deploy Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (Cloud ERP) for finance and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (Cloud SCM) for supply chain management. Oracle’s integrated cloud platform will enable Kersia to innovate its supply chain and procurement management functions, as well as enhance and automate its financial processes to increase efficiency, optimize business operations, and more efficiently manage and allocate resources as the company grows. The rollout will also help Kersia meet its goal of significantly reducing its operational costs and IT carbon footprint.
“Kersia is on a journey of cloud-led digital transformation as we align the organization with continued growth and new business opportunities. The migration of critical business processes from more than 30 on-premises platforms to Oracle Fusion Applications is at the heart of this process. This implementation will allow us improve streamlined automated activities such as for intercompany flows and deploy common processes across the group to provide an excellent and consistent customer service worldwide based on total quality and transparency,” said Sébastien Bossard, CEO of Kersia.
With Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud SCM, Kersia will be able to increase productivity, reduce costs, drive efficient processes, benefit from best practices across geographies, and improve controls by consolidating more than 30 business systems on one enterprise-scale applications suite.
“Kersia is reinventing its operations as it continues to diversify its business and drive growth. With Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, it can quickly consolidate its disparate back-office systems and connect core business processes on a single data platform. As a result, Kersia will be able to break down organizational silos, adapt business models and processes, and focus on service innovation,” said Jon Chorley, CSO & GVP, SCM Product Strategy, Oracle.
