The product was tested for:

• Images that convey information have meaningful alternative text using ALT.
• Images that are decorative are marked up using ALT=”” or CSS background images.

EXCEPTIONS:

Most functional images have ALT attributes, and most of those that do not have another attribute such as title which describes the image. The following images are missing the ALT attribute:

• 18673362: Close a dialog
• 14372982: Manage Preferences wizard: move left, move right, move all left, move all right, maximize, combo box arrow
• 14361796: Show/hide splitter image
• 14366793: Close, Search, scroll left, scroll right, minimize, maximize, and restore

Decorative images that have an ALT attribute:

• 18339220: A vertical squiggle in the tab bar. Its alt text is based on the name of the open module
• 18197706: Images showing what types of applications are available on the Home Page

• 9313289: Screen magnifier programs are preferred over browser based "Zoom" and "Text Size" features, as they may produce undesirable results. Text resizing causes misalignment of grids and tree views.

• Ability to perform functions from the keyboard only, and without requiring specific timings for individual keystrokes
• Consistent use of keyboard keys to perform selection and action
• Menu items have unique shortcut selection characters

EXCEPTIONS:

• 7125276: While in screen-reader mode, if the focus is inside a text field, pressing the Home or End keys does not move the cursor to the beginning or end of the text field.
• 18225100: When a dialog is open, pressing the F10 key will move focus to the menus behind the dialog, but the key should be ignored while a dialog is open.
• 18225028: When a dialog is open and screen reader support is enabled, pressing the Ctrl-L shortcut will not activate the list of links dialog, but will instead open Internet Explorer's Open dialog.
• 7426187: While using Home Page, global shortcuts (for example, Ctrl-T, Ctrl-G, F10) may not work until Ctrl-Shift-F6 is pressed.
• 16288711 and 20238121: The Windows application key or Shift-F10 shortcut brings up the context menu for the columns in the grids, not the context menu for the items which has the focus. The main menu can be used to operate on objects selected in the repository.
• 9278978: Top level Workspace menus can be accessed using the Alt key and the letter associated with that menu. Once the menu is opened the Alt key is not necessary and should not be used to access menu items included in the menu currently open. User should only press the letter associated with the submenu item desired. Example of a correct item selection:  Alt-F opens File menu, "N" is all that is needed to select the New menu item under File menu.
• 10170614: The global navigation shortcut "F10" to move the focus to the first menu in the menu bar may not work in some browsers if the current focus is inside a combobox list.  Once the user moves focus out of the combobox, "F10" works correctly.
• 12857511: In Mozilla Firefox, when the focus is inside an iframe, the Alt-X or Ctrl-X key commands are not functional. To work around, use Alt+Shift+X. This will select the menu, and the arrow keys can be used to expand the menus and select an item. Pressing the space bar or Enter will activate the menu item. Another workaround is to switch focus out of the iframe by pressing Ctrl-Shift-F6, then enter the key command.
• 19851685: Accelerator keys for buttons intermittently do not work. The workaround is to press Tab until the focus moves to the button, then press Enter to activate the button.
• 20199715: The combo boxes in Dynamic Help do not allow items to be selected via the keyboard.

The product was tested for:

• Movement of focus through each control only using the keyboard, with no "keyboard trap" that prevents focus from moving away from any control.

EXCEPTIONS:

• 18050145:  Layout areas on the Home Page can have More links. The user can press Tab to move to the More link and the down arrow to activate the link to see additional items in the list. After this, pressing Tab or Shift-Tab does not move the focus off of the items in the list. The user must press Escape and then Tab to move the focus from the list of items.
• 12973708: When the focus is inside a Workspace page, in order to access global shortcuts, Ctrl-Shift-F6 must be pressed first.
• 11742052: In some dialogs, the accelerator keys may need to be pressed twice.
• 13775327: In Workspace Pages, after pressing Ctrl-Shift-F6 to shift focus out of an iframe, you can tab to other controls outside the iframe, but you cannot immediately press Ctrl-F6 to return to the iframe. Also, the focus is not visible. As a workaround, you can press Tab to move to another control, then Shift-Tab to bring the focus back to the iframe, and finally Ctrl-F6 to return focus to inside the iframe.
• 16086977:  When using the keyboard to navigate the items in the More menu on the Home Page or the Quick Links layout area on a Workspace Page, moving to the other controls on the page cannot be done with the Tab key. The user must press the Escape key.
• 18906913: If no content modules are open in Workspace, then global navigation shortcut keys (e.g., Ctrl-T to access the toolbar) do not work. The workaround is to use a menu shortcut (e.g., Alt-F to open the file menu), which allows the global navigation keys to work again. With Mozilla Firefox, the global navigation keys may cause the focus to move to the browser's Address bar instead of the expected area (e.g., after pressing Ctrl-T, the expectation is that the focus will go the toolbar). The workaround is to press Tab to move the focus from the Address bar.
• 15935647: In some circumstances, the focus will not move to the toolbar using Shift-Tab. The workaround is to press Ctrl-T to move focus to the toolbar.
• 7686695: While viewing Workspace pages, it is not possible to use the right arrow to navigate to the second row of layout areas. The workaround is to use the Down arrow key.

The product was tested for:

• The only time limit is for user inactivity. This time limit can be adjusted to at least 10 times longer before being encountered.

The product was tested for:

• No Auto-Updating
• No moving, blinking, or scrolling information

EXCEPTIONS:

• 18354320: When using Mozilla Firefox, the focus can move to the browser's Address bar, which is not intuitive.
• 18354268: With Mozilla Firefox, the focus moves inside the iframe on the Home Page without the user having to press the documented key sequence (Ctrl-F6).
• 8564952: Components that are in a disabled state are not focusable.
• 18720095: The tab order in the Explore module's grid is not intuitive. The focus moves from the Process Bar (which shows the path) then to the Maximize button, and then to the first row in the table (skipping the column headers). After all the rows in the table, the focus moves to the column headers and then to the Help link at the top of the page.
• 19869279: Unable to move focus in the menu bar, when no content is opened in workspace.

The product was tested for:

• The text of links and their surrounding paragraph, list, table cell (with marked up table headers), or preceding heading is sufficient to describe their purpose.

• Searching documents using a search box.

The product was tested for:

• Headers describe the topic or purpose of the content below them
• Labels describe the purpose of the associated field

The product was tested for:

• Visual indication of the location of the focus

EXCEPTIONS:

• 18315358: When using Mozilla Firefox, the focus may not be visible in the beginning of a user's session. The focus will eventually appear and remain visible if the user continues to remain logged on.
• 12977030: While in screen-reader mode, the focus may not be visible on the iframe on Home Page.
• 7414302: When screen-reader support is enabled, and an item is opened from the Recently Opened layout area on the Home Page, the focus may disappear. The workaround is to use one of the Control key shortcuts to restore the focus to a known location.
• 13775327: In Workspace Pages, after pressing Ctrl-Shift-F6 to shift focus out of an iframe, you can tab to other controls outside the iframe, but you cannot immediately press Ctrl-F6 to return to the iframe. Also, the focus is not visible. As a workaround, you can press Tab to move to another control, then Shift-Tab to bring the focus back to the iframe, and finally Ctrl-F6 to return focus to inside the iframe.

EXCEPTIONS:

• 18720139: In the Explore module, column headers in the table are not announced by screen readers.
• 7298707: When a dialog opens, its title is not always voiced by screen readers because the focus may change from the dialog's title to the dialog's first focusable item.
• 8979574: Workspace menus once open are navigable using arrow keys. This is announced by accessibility tools when menus are opened. Sometimes this navigation hint is voiced only after the user begins navigating inside the menu.
• 20071526: In the File Open dialog, items in the "Type" combo box are not read by screen readers.

Content generated by the authoring tool (the Workspace Pages editor) has the issues listed in the WCAG 2.0 section of the report under the EXCEPTIONS heading that refer to “Workspace Page” or “Home Page” (the Home Page is a type of Workspace Page).

The authoring tool supports only one output format, Workspace Pages.

There is no PDF files exporting capability.

The authoring tool does not prompt for addition of accessibility features such as ‘alt’ attributes.

The templates used by the authoring tool do not include accessibility features.
