Introduction
This demo shows how to turn documents into insights, unlocking the power of AI on digital storage on-premises or in the cloud. Using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and OCI Generative AI, we can fetch AI-powered answers generated directly from your documents.
We’ll upload our documents to the cloud and automate categorization and analysis with AI. Using low-code tools, we’ll create a generative AI search front end to search documents using OpenSearch with a Google-like search interface created in Oracle Visual Builder. Then we’ll use RAG to retrieve relevant information from documents and use that information to generate a response. We can even create responses with generative AI that aren’t based on the uploaded documents. In addition, this data can be migrated from on-premises to the cloud in the process.
This project includes a demo of semantic search, RAG, and generative AI. Many document types are supported, including:
- Word, Excel, PDF, and more
- Images with text using OCI Document Understanding
- Images without text using OCI Vision
- Audio and video files
- Custom documents
