Harry Kane entered rarefied air on February 5, when he scored goal number 200 in his remarkable Premier League career, a milestone reached by only two other players in the football league’s 30-year history. The Premier League will recognize the Tottenham striker’s historic accomplishment with a special Milestone Award medallion and engraved plaque, presented to Kane with cloud partner Oracle.
A deeper look into Kane’s career goal-related statistics—laid out below courtesy of Premier League data provider Stats Perform and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services—reveals the breadth and depth of his extraordinary accomplishment. Oracle’s Brian Macdonald, Carrie Nielsen, and Andres Quintana used Oracle Analytics Cloud to model the data collected by Stats Perform, tapping Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse to join disparate data sources. And they generated rich insights using the platform’s machine learning-based Auto Insights and Explain features.
“We’re pleased to recognize this historic milestone alongside our partners at Oracle,” says Will Brass, the Premier League’s chief commercial officer. “Drilling into the data, with the help of Oracle’s world-class cloud technology, we can see how Harry Kane has been a model of consistency over the years, as a prolific goal scorer and a superb all-round Premier League performer.”

Former Newcastle, Blackburn, and Southampton striker Alan Shearer, who holds the Premier League’s all-time scoring record with 260 career goals, was 30 when he reached 200. Wayne Rooney, the league’s No. 2 all-time scorer with 208 career goals, most of them for Manchester United, reached 200 at age 31. (Total goal-scoring numbers exclude own goals.)
April 7, 2014: Having begun his career on four separate loan spells away from Tottenham, whose academy he joined at age 11, Kane rejoined Spurs and scored his first Premier League goal on this date, at age 20, in a home game against Sunderland. His second goal would come less than a week later—and the rest is history.
