Digital Asset Cloud Service (DACS)allows operations managers and program administrators to manage controllable devices installed at a customer's location - where the customer has asked to enroll or is enrolled in utility / energy management programs. Examples of such devices include thermostats, battery storage, a/c units, solar inverters, EVs. The devices could be owned and installed by the utility or owned and installed by the customer.
DACS functions as part of a suite of applications, including NMS, LEC, OUAI, and other ancillary systems. DACS exchanges data with NMS essential to its determination of which devices to control to relieve a forecast network load constraint that is identified as an event. When an event is completed, the customers participation generates a settlement determined by the customer program participation agreement.
