Business challenges

Samsung SDS, the largest enterprise cloud solutions provider in Korea, was an early adopter of Oracle Database. Today the company is looking to maintain its leadership with new and innovative technologies.

We expect that Exadata Cloud@Customer will enable us to continue our success in bringing innovations to both established and emerging market segments.

Why Samsung SDS Chose Oracle

Ten years ago, Samsung SDS originally adopted Exadata to improve its display manufacturing system. Today, the company uses Exadata to support many Samsung lines of business.

Results

Oracle Exadata is a key building block for Samsung SDS’ digital innovation strategy because it plays an important role as part of Samsung SDS’ data and compute backbone. Exadata enables a seamless Oracle Database platform running in both the public cloud and on-premises, which allows Samsung SDS to meet security requirements while using the cloud and without sacrificing performance.
