Oracle Cloud helps Safexpress improve regulatory compliance
The Indian logistics provider chooses Oracle Cloud ERP to streamline its finance systems, improve compliance, and increase visibility.
“Oracle’s enterprise-grade ERP and cloud platform solutions have helped us fast-track innovation, increase operational efficiencies, and improve overall IT management.”
Business challenges
Safexpress, founded in 1997, provides a wide range of innovative logistics and supply chain services to customers across India in a range of industries, including apparel, healthcare, high tech, automotive, and consumer electronics. But its on-premises ERP solution wasn’t keeping pace with the company’s growth or its regulatory compliance requirements, and it didn’t provide company leaders or customers with the visibility they needed.
With the Goods and Service Tax rollout in India, we implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to support our business operations, enhance financial insight, deliver accurate reports, and save time and costs.
Why Safexpress chose Oracle
Results
Using Oracle Cloud ERP, Safexpress was able to comply with the Goods and Services Tax, a complex consumption tax implemented in India in July 2017 to replace myriad taxes levied by the federal and state governments. Oracle ERP Cloud’s real-time data reporting and analytics capabilities have also revealed new business insights and improved executive and managerial decision-making. The Oracle applications have enabled Safexpress to reduce its deliver-to-collection cycle by five days and to eliminate paperwork by streamlining what was a highly manual invoicing process. Additionally, because Oracle ERP Cloud runs on any mobile device, members of the finance team can do approvals from anywhere with an internet connection. The cloud-based application suite has also freed Safexpress’s IT department to spend more time on activities that add business value, less on system maintenance and security, while reducing hosting and data center management costs.
