    • I haven’t received the e-certificate notification and more than a week has passed since I completed all certification requirements. What should I do?
    • How do I access my exam results and print my score report?

For production exams that were delivered through Pearson VUE (delivered online, at a Pearson VUE Test Center, or at an Oracle Testing Center), you’ll receive an email from Oracle when your new exam results are available (within 30 minutes of completing your exam). Please check your spam filters to allow delivery of emails from @oracle.com. You should log in to Oracle CertView and select Exam Results then See My New Exam Results Now to view your exam results.

For beta exams, you’ll receive an email notification from Pearson VUE when the exam results are available. Please check your spam filters to allow delivery of emails from @pearsonvue.com.

If you’re unable to log in to CertView, please log a ticket.

    • What is an Oracle Testing ID?

Your Oracle Testing ID is your unique identifier for the Oracle Certification Program. It’s important that you only maintain one Oracle Testing ID and that you take all exams and submit all forms through CertView using a single Oracle Testing ID. This ID may have been referred to as a “Prometric ID” or “Candidate ID” in the past. This is not the same as a Sun Candidate ID.

In CertView, you can create and manage your Oracle Certification profile; merge accounts; manage name changes; schedule, reschedule, and cancel exam appointments; update Oracle PartnerNetwork company details; and complete your course submission forms.

    • I need to verify the certification credential(s) of an individual or potential employee. How do I do that?

Due to privacy and legal restrictions, Oracle can’t provide verification of certification status to third parties such as employers, employment agencies, or government agencies without the candidate's direct involvement. Candidates must initiate the verification request using the self-service third-party verification tool accessible via Oracle's certification portal, CertView. Please instruct the individual wishing to verify their certification credential to follow these steps:

      • Go to CertView.
      • Click Certification Management then Publish Credentials to Third Parties.

Users will be able to select the certification(s) they want to verify and enter the email address of the person who needs the verification. This person will receive two emails. One will contain a unique URL that will allow them to access the verification, and the second will contain a password that will allow them to access the unique URL. The URL and password will only be valid for a limited time, so be sure that the recipient validates the certification when they receive the emails.

    • Will I get a free retake for a purchased exam?

No, you won’t get a free retake for a purchased exam. You’ll need to use one exam attempt every time you register to take the exam.

    • I’ve taken my tests under two different candidate IDs. How can I get these merged?

      • Log in to the Oracle CertView portal using the credentials of the surviving testing ID (the one you want to retain).
      • Click My Account.
      • Click Request for Merge.
      • Follow the on-screen instructions and submit the merge request.

Please allow three business days to receive an update on your merge request.

If the issue is still not resolved, please log a ticket here.

    • I want to know which questions I answered incorrectly. Can you provide this information?

To maintain the integrity of our exams, Oracle doesn’t share information about the exam questions or correct answers with any third parties or customers. The score report in Oracle CertView lists the objectives you might have to focus on when you retake the exam.

Also, check the Exam Scoring Policy.

    • How do I request a re-evaluation of my hands-on performance score?

The scoring is an automated process and accurately reflects your exam score. However, if you still want a re-evaluation, please raise a service request by logging a ticket within 48 hours of your exam attempt. We won’t be able to honor any request for re-evaluation after the 48-hour window.

    • Is there any video of the exam experience for Oracle’s hands-on, performance-based exam?

    • I have an error inside my lab.

Please log a ticket and include the exercise and page number from the activity guide.

    • How can I extend my lab environment?

If your lab is eligible for an extension, you’ll see the Extend Lab button in the Lab section on the last day of the lab. Click it and the lab will be extended. If your lab isn’t eligible for an extension, you won’t see the Extend Lab button on the last day of the lab. If you need further support, please log a ticket requesting an extension.

    • How many times can I request an environment?

Subscription customers are eligible to have one active lab environment on any given day during the period of their subscription. Note: You can request lab time for the same course multiple times.

    • I am not able to login to my OCI lab environment.

Check you’re using the credentials supplied with your lab info in your learning subscription interface and not your own personal single sign-on (SSO) credentials that you use to log in to MyLearn. Check your lab info to see if you should connect to your lab by logging in to the OCI Console directly via a URL or via a landing pad on Oracle University Secure Global Desktop. The credentials displayed will indicate which method of connection you need.

    • My lab machine is slow or unresponsive.

To check your network’s capabilities, open the command line by clicking on the button and typing cmd. The command-line program should appear. Open it, and type in ping ouconnect.oracle.com. The command will run and provide the latency in milliseconds.

      • A value below 200 ms doesn’t cause perceivable performance issues; log a ticket to further investigate.
      • A value between 200 ms and 250 ms should provide good performance; log a ticket to further investigate.
      • A value above 250 ms will severely impact the performance. Change your connection for optimal latency.

For connection errors and assistance, please log a ticket and include the results from your speed test.

    • I notice a mismatch between the activity guide and lab environment. What should I do?

Please log a ticket and provide the activity guide page number that has the error.

    • Where can I find the credentials for my lab environment?

You’ll receive an email when your lab environment is ready. To access the credentials, click the Lab icon. You’ll find the credentials under Access Your Lab.

    • I have an issue using Secure Global Desktop. What should I do?

The connection to the lab environment is done via Secure Global Desktop. Note: You must have access to ports 80 and 443 on the firewall in both directions. If you’re on a company network, contact the local network administrators. The platform offers two different client options:

      • Connect using the standalone client (recommended access method, requires administrator rights and provides full control over the remote machine). The following browsers support this option: Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari.
      • HTML5 doesn’t require special permissions, has limited compatibility with the back-end labs, and doesn’t support non-EN keyboards. The following browsers support HTML5: Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari.
    • How do I cancel or reschedule my lab environment?

If your lab is eligible for cancelation, you’ll see the Release Lab button in the lab section after your lab is ready. Click it and the lab will be released. If you see a Cancel Your Reservation button in the Lab section, click it and your lab request will be canceled. Note that this button won’t be visible after your lab is ready.

    • Lab files aren’t available for download. What should I do?

The course-related files are the sole property of Oracle University, and sharing the files is against Oracle University policy. The lab files will be available to you within the Oracle University lab environment.

      Please restart the connection process.

    • What should I do if I’m unable to connect to the lab environment via virtual network computing or the Remote Desktop Protocol?

Try connecting via Oracle Secure Global Desktop (using a desktop client or HTML5).

    • I receive an “Authentication failed” error when I try to log in to OCI lab environment. What should I do?

Try typing your password rather than copying and pasting it. Also check for blank spaces at the beginning and end of your password entry.

    • My Secure Global Desktop account is locked. What should I do?

Wait and then try logging in again. Try typing your password rather than copying and pasting it. Also check for blank spaces at the beginning and end of your password entry.

    • While performing my lab activities, what should I do if I have technical questions related to the content?

On the course page, click the Ask the Instructor icon and submit your query.
