Malaysia’s largest expressway service provider moves finance and HR processes to the cloud to increase operational efficiency and improve decision-making
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—February 13, 2023PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS Malaysia), Malaysia’s largest expressway service provider, has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite to streamline its finance and HR processes and improve business efficiency. With Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), PLUS Malaysia will be able to increase productivity, expand insights, and improve decision-making by managing finance and HR data on a single integrated cloud platform.
PLUS Malaysia is the largest highway operator in Malaysia and one of the largest in South East Asia. PLUS also serves over 1.7 million commuters daily. With finance and HR data dispersed across multiple legacy applications, PLUS Malaysia struggled to gain an accurate view of its business and this impacted its ability to make timely and well-informed decisions. After careful consideration, PLUS Malaysia decided to optimize finance and HR processes in the cloud, selecting Oracle Fusion Applications to unlock new efficiencies and position itself for future growth.
“PLUS Malaysia operates a 1,130-kilometre network of 8 highways which require continuous maintenance and upgrades. Our biggest challenge has been integrating multiple operating systems and ensuring employees, especially remote workers, stay connected,” said Kang Yew Jin, Chief Technology Officer, PLUS Malaysia. “Oracle Fusion Applications will enable us to consolidate systems and streamline processes, enhance employee engagement, increase the accuracy of finance and HR data, and improve visibility across the business.”
With Oracle Cloud ERP, PLUS Malaysia can increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve controls, while Oracle Cloud HCM can help to optimize the employee experience and expand workforce insights. Oracle Fusion Application Suite’s quarterly update cycle will also give the PLUS Malaysia team access to continuous innovation, as new features are added every 90 days, without downtime or business disruption.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure integration services, including Visual Builder, have also been utilized to create a new user interface to manage its service procurement requirements more coherently.
“To effectively solve the country’s biggest traffic challenges, PLUS Malaysia needed to eliminate inefficient manual processes that were slowing it down,” said Fitri Abdullah, managing director, Oracle Malaysia. “With Oracle’s integrated suite of cloud applications, PLUS Malaysia can automate business processes and scale up operations. In addition, regular updates can enable the finance and HR teams to embrace continuous innovation and continually enhance services to further benefit Malaysia’s citizens.”
Oracle Consulting and Tech Mahindra are the implementation partners for the project. Oracle won the PLUS Malaysia contract in 2018.
