Why Java still rocks the stock market

April 2021
With the advent of retail trading and a bull market running for more than a decade now, the stock market has never been more popular. Take a look at the state of the art in financial engineering, and you’ll find that Java is still critical to how stock markets run—and it has a long history in finance. Java was key to speeding up the first electronic communication network (ECN) for trading beyond the stock market floor. It powered up high-frequency trades, and it made algorithmic trading accessible to all via open source tools that are still popular today.

Have you used Java to advance your finances? Write me with your thoughts.
