2015 has been fantastic year for MySQL. Oracle released MySQL 5.7 GA (Generally available), yet again the best release in MySQL’s history. Other GA releases included MySQL Cluster 7.4, MySQL Router, MySQL Enterprise Firewall as well as new versions of MySQL Workbench, MySQL Enterprise Monitor, MySQL Enterprise Backup...and many more. 2015 also marked a year of MySQL anniversaries celebrated at Oracle OpenWorld: 20 Years for MySQL, 10 years of Oracle stewardship for InnoDB and 5 years of Oracle stewardship for MySQL.
