Welcome to the Oracle Cloud Console—the web-based interface that Oracle Cloud customers use to access all the services needed to run any workload. The console is available to all Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) users, including customers using Always Free Services.
The Oracle Cloud Console homepage reflects your organization’s unique environment and is designed to help new users onboard quickly.
You can select from a variety of common profiles to describe your Oracle Cloud work and interests, and your console homepage is then tailored to your selections.
With the console’s Build widget, you can navigate directly to common tasks such as setting up a load balancer, setting up a network with a wizard, and creating a VM instance.
Run any workload, from small development projects to large enterprise applications, securely and at scale on OCI Compute VMs.
With a targeted set of VM shapes—standard, dense I/O, GPU, and optimized—the console makes it easy to find the right instance for your workload.
When working with OCI, you should create a virtual cloud network (VCN) to host cloud resources; you can do this in minutes in the console.
OCI VCNs are private, flexible data centers in the cloud with security policies and built-in administration and troubleshooting. The console’s VCN wizard helps you quickly create an OCI VCN by providing a guided, step-by-step process.
Quickly navigate through recently viewed or created resources with the console’s Resources widget.
Resource Explorer— available through the Resources widget—helps you quickly search for resources across regions, save frequent searches as resource collections, and perform bulk actions on resources.
It makes it simple to quickly search through cloud resources at scale. You can filter by specific resource metadata, including by region, resource type, compartment, tags, or a combination of many criteria.
By default, the Resources widget will appear at the top of the console homepage, but you can customize widget placement within the console to suit your preferences. Drag and drop widgets to place them anywhere within the homepage and hide the widgets you don’t need.
The homepage also includes features such as the Service spotlight that are particularly helpful for new OCI users or users who want to jump in and quickly create common resources. The Service spotlight recommends OCI services for you to explore based on your profile.
Easily access recently visited services or pin your most used ones under Service.
Recommendations offers suggestions—based on an OCI environment’s unique configuration and utilization—for how to lower costs, improve performance, optimize availability, and enhance security.
Use the console’s Alarms widget to monitor the health, capacity, and performance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources.
The Oracle Cloud Console helps jump-start your OCI onboarding—Learn, Quickstarts, and Getting started offer suggestions for courses, tutorials, workshops, and more based on your user profile.
You can find additional, situation-specific help through the console’s contextually aware help panels, which populate with suggested links based on where you are in the console.
The Oracle Cloud Console has been designed to help you efficiently run any workload and provides cloud management tools that can be tailored to your organization’s unique needs.
