Room assignment

With enhanced room assignments, OPERA makes sure rooms are assigned to guests based on preferences, stay patterns, and loyalty. It can also be used for advanced room rotation and selects least used rooms, giving other rooms an opportunity to rest. Rooms can be assigned in batch and based on groups or other filters.

ID scanning

Improve data quality by capturing guest details directly from their ID. Comply with local regulations mandating a copy/scan of guest ID. Avoid unnecessary contact by scanning the ID with a mobile device.

Kiosk:

Many kiosk vendors offer the ability to scan ID documents. Comply with health safety standards by sanitizing kiosks after each use.

Mobile:

OPERA Cloud’s mobile-first design simplifies scanning. Some vendors provide the link to capture right from the tablet running OPERA Cloud. The ID image can then be stored in OPERA.

How we can help:

Oracle Payment Interface (OPI) provides a standard interface for partners to collect credit card data and process payments, using secure EMV (chip and pin)-enabled terminals. With OPI, sensitive cardholder data is tokenized and can be sent securely.

Secure payment is paramount today, and our OPI-validated partner network is committed to providing solutions which reduce exposure to PCI security standards. Our partners provide the means for conventional and contactless payments through secure EMV terminals.


Mobile keys

PURPOSE: CONTACTLESS

Business case

Help guests use personal devices to access their rooms. Eliminate waiting at the front desk for key pickup.

During check-in, OPERA provides a mechanism for generating keys directly from OPERA Cloud or hotel mobile. Many of our door-locking solution partners have the ability to accommodate mobile-key requests.

Mobile keys are best supported through guest-facing applications in which the app developer communicates directly with OPERA door-locking partners to update guests’ phones with mobile keys. Guests use a hotel guest-facing app or an app provided by one of our kiosk-type vendors. Many key vendors provide this service in their base offering.
