I'm a huge fan of the Oracle platform. Our professional services business has built its success using Oracle’s applications and technology both internally and with our clients for close to 12 years. I’m proud of the great work we've done with Oracle to help our customers transform their businesses leveraging Oracle technology.

Business challenges

Peloton Consulting Group helps businesses grow and enhance performance through digital transformation. The professional services firm has been recognized as one of Inc.’s 5,000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America for five straight years, and it’s been recognized by the Silicon Review as one of the 50 Best Workplaces for four consecutive years. Peloton is an Oracle partner that specializes in implementing Oracle technology for its clients.

Peloton’s continued growth and international expansion drove the company to standardize on a single technology platform that could scale with the company while enabling it to modernize and streamline its financial processes. Peloton was using three different on-premises IT systems to support accounting, finance, and operations, and wanted to replace them with one system that could improve visibility and provide a comprehensive view of financial data across the organization.

Using Oracle means I don’t spend all my time worrying about my back office. I spend my time thinking about how I'm growing and developing my business instead. By leveraging Oracle, we’ve grown fivefold.

Why Peloton Consulting Group chose Oracle

As it looked to move its on-premises technology to the cloud, Peloton chose Oracle Cloud Applications because they offered the best performance at the best price. The Peloton team also liked the fact that Oracle continually invests in additional capabilities, such as machine learning, that would allow the company to keep its technology current going forward. The firm also had a lot of trust in Oracle, having been a customer and partner for 20 years.

Results

Moving to Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) allowed Peloton to reduce its billing cycle by 25%. The company also tapped Oracle Cloud ERP’s audit capabilities to reduce its billable expenses by 30%. Peloton now benefits from improved efficiency and data visibility, including support for intercompany bill backs and multi-ledger reporting.

Peloton uses the detailed dashboards within Oracle ERP to visually demonstrate to clients how they are using the system and the daily benefits they are driving, which has created a significant differentiator for the company.

Moving to Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM allowed Peloton to expand operations in India, Brazil, and Ukraine, while holding finance costs consistent. “As we scaled and moved into multiple countries and added more complexity to our business, the number of invoices we send out on a bimonthly basis increased exponentially,” says Peloton Senior Vice President Matthew Conner. “But we haven't had to increase our finance headcount dramatically. That helps us keep our internal costs down so we can provide the best possible price to our customers.”

Peloton also uses Oracle Eloqua Marketing Automation to keep in touch with customers, prospects, and channel partners to ensure they know about the latest company news, solutions, and successes.

Peloton helps its customers implement and use a wide range of Oracle technology, and using Oracle Cloud Applications adds to the company’s credibility and subject matter expertise. “We take a lot of pride in the fact that we run our business on the same platform that we help our customers implement,” says Guy Daniello, CEO and founder of Peloton Consulting Group.
