AI and Machine Learning

A request is defined as one round-trip interaction: a request to the Digital Assistant and a response from that Digital Assistant. There is a minimum consumption rate of 250 requests per hour for each instance.

• A transaction is a character. 10,000 transactions = 10,000 characters

Foundational models can be consumed on demand, where you pay per character based on the length of the prompt and the response from the model (except for the embedding models, where the response from the model isn’t accounted for). In the table below, a transaction = a character and 10,000 transactions = 10,000 characters.

Additionally, you can host private replicas of foundational models and create fine-tuned models on dedicated AI clusters. Dedicated AI clusters come in two types: hosting and fine-tuning. You create a hosting cluster by assigning AI units to it based on the model you want to host and the expected call volume to the model. Fine-tuning clusters require two AI units of the specific model you want to fine-tune. Once you create a fine-tuned model in a fine-tuning cluster, you can host it on your hosting cluster.

Dedicated AI clusters require a minimum commitment of 744 unit-hours (per cluster) for hosting models. Fine-tuning clusters require a minimum of 1 unit-hour.

Compute

• The first 3K OCPU-hrs and the first 18K GB-hrs each month is free for Ampere A1 shape.
• All compute instances use boot volumes as their system disk. Additional storage and boot volumes are billed at the standard block volumes service pricing. Note, that this is in addition to the price of the compute instance.
• E3, E4, E5, X9, and A1 SKUs support resource-based pricing. The OCPU and the memory resources are priced separately, and customers need to purchase the Memory SKU along with the OCPU SKU. The OCPU and memory resources are fixed for bare metal instances.
• Unused Capacity reservations are priced at 85% of the price of regular instances. This discount is applied in addition to other discounts, such as UCM negotiated rates.

*The server price per hour is calculated by multiplying the GPU price per hour by the number of GPUs.

Containers and Functions

• 1 OCPU on x86 CPU Architecture (AMD) = 2 vCPUs
• 1 OCPU on Arm CPU Architecture (Ampere) = 1 vCPU
• The minimum unit of provisioning starts from 1 OCPU on both x86 (AMD) and Arm (Ampere) processors.
• Each tenancy gets the first 3,000 OCPU hours and 18,000 GB hours per month for free to create Ampere A1 Compute instances. This free-tier usage is shared across Bare Metal, Virtual Machine, and Container Instances.

Provisioned Concurrency is priced at 25% of the Execution Time when unused. There is no charge for Provisioned Concurrency that is used to execute Functions. This discount is applied in addition to other discounts, such as UCM negotiated rates.

Data Lake

Note: Big Data Service with Oracle Distrubtion of Hadoop offers Compute Standard, Compute Standard E4, Bare Metal and HPC shapes. For pricing information, refer to the Compute section on this page. You have the ability to start or stop a cluster. During the stop state, you'll be billed only 25% of the service fees rate.

Hybrid Cloud

Integration

• First 1 million requests/month are free
• A request is considered to be 64 Kb. Larger messages will count as multiple requests.
• Multiple messages submitted or retrieved with a single service call will be costed on request size.

With Streaming’s industry-leading pricing, you pay only when you use the service when operating within the default service limits. If you need partitions beyond the existing service limits, Streaming anticipates a minimum usage of 10 GB per hour (PUT and GET requests) for every 50 partitions used. If your actual usage falls below that rate, you’ll be charged for the minimum expected usage, i.e., 10 GB x $0.025 = $0.25 per hour for every 50 partitions.

Native VMware

*Notes:

• Minimum of a single host non production environment (available with dense only) or a 3 host production environment.
• Hourly commit requires a minimum of 8 hours.
• Cancelling service prior to the end of the commitment interval does not stop metering.
• Expansion SKUs can go up to maximum OCPUs that can be enabled in the host.

Networking

Note: Site-to-Site VPN is a free service with no port hour charges. Data transfer cost is covered under networking cloud pricing.

Observability and Management

Open Source Databases

* Low memory, at any increment up to 10 gigabytes (GB) per node, will be measured and charged at $0.0194 per GB per hour. For nodes more than 10 GB (high memory), the service will be billed at the rate of $0.0194 up to the first 10 GB of memory per hour, plus $0.0136 per GB per hour for each GB above 10 GB.

* OCI Database with PostgreSQL customers incur costs based on actual Database Optimized Storage usage and provisioned OCPUs, plus additional fees for user-selected resources, such as memory and OCI Block Storage VPUs, allocated at service initiation.

Oracle Databases

• Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases can be billed by OCPUs or ECPUs. It is recommended that customers use the newer pricing metric of ECPUs.
• Autonomous Data Warehouse and Autonomous Transaction Processing databases can be deployed on serverless or dedicated Exadata infrastructure. Serverless customers use ADW or ATP Exadata storage, while dedicated infrastructure customers use dedicated infrastructure.

Note: The first 183 days (6 months) of a migration are free if no job is running idle (no data transferred) for more than 60 days.
