The Oracle Primavera Unifier Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) solution helps prevent delays and keeps project schedules on track. Built on the new Unifier Accelerator base configuration, the AWP configuration helps prevent obstacles for crews on projects by packaging all aspects of work together to automate constraint management and approval cycles.
The Primavera Unifier AWP configuration supports integrations with Primavera P6 EPPM, ERP systems, visualization solutions, and analytics.
Primavera Unifier’s advanced RESTful APIs support most middleware solutions, including Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle Consulting’s Platform Integration Framework (PIF).
Oracle Construction and Engineering’s AWP solution provides a consistent and structured approach to packaging work with the construction sequence. Any modifications to a work package are automatically captured and become part of the audit trail, so details such as which constraint was cleared and what may have been reconstrained are clearly communicated and become part of the project record.
Integrated processes, systems, and data are key to the Advanced Work Package solution. Project stakeholders and AWP practitioners can manage and track material requisitions, purchase order line items, and supplier information from the integrated system of record, generally the ERP system. The Procurement Work Package consolidates relevant information from the Engineering Work Package, Construction Work Package, and construction work area. The integrated AWP solution and seamless data flow minimize errors, rework, and administrative overhead.
The Oracle solution provides visibility into the package scope and schedule. AWP practitioners can see the relationships between scopes of work packages that contribute to a Construction Work Package (CWP) from a single view without having to move between screens or systems. Additionally, work packages follow a predefined, guided workflow process to ensure that constraints are identified and resolved prior to the workflow proceeding.
Relationship management is automated in terms of documentation, status and access, drawings, and specifications that support the scope of work within the context of the Engineering Work Package (EWP). The EWP informs the status of engineering readiness to the CWP as well as the Primavera P6 schedule so that project managers can transparently see what work has been completed so far and how much work is remaining.
Relationships between Installation Work Packages (IWP) and Construction Work Packages are managed along with constraints associated with the IWP through a system-generated audit log coupled with a workflow engine. All information needed to complete the scope of the IWP is organized within a single view. For the WorkFace Planner, the IWP is integrated with the 3D model so that IWP planning can be performed directly from the 3D user interface. The IWP also includes integrated data from the Primavera P6 schedule so that progress and status of the IWP can be reflected in the project schedule.
Any modifications to a work package are automatically captured and become part of the audit trail, so details such as which constraint was cleared and what may have been reconstrained are clearly communicated and become part of the project record.
Automated constraint management ensures that no Installation Work Packages are released for execution prematurely. WorkFace planners can see all constraints that are relevant to each work package and understand the deficiencies in order to address them.
Automated workflows help ensure that work package requirements are reviewed and approved by the necessary parties prior to their release. Automated communication among the WorkFace planners, project managers, vendors, and service providers facilitates informed, collaborative decision-making.
The Advanced Work Package management solution helps ensure that constraint-free packages of work are available to the crafts to install, ensuring smooth startup to deliver packages and projects on schedule. All constraints are listed with detail and status.
The UniversalPlantViewer (UPV) enhances collaboration and helps you optimize your entire plant lifecycle.
Integration between the Advanced Work Packaging solution and UPV visualization tool provides a model of the asset, the construction work area of that asset, and the detail of each Installation Work Package within that construction work area.
Asset tags are the identifiers that are used to tie the element on the model to the installation bill of materials and the associated Installation Work Package to help ensure that all the materials needed for a given IWP are onsite. So missing or incorrect materials will not become a constraint.
The clear and complete checklist within the Installation Work Package form helps ensure the IWP is ready and no constraints remain.
The native integration between the Primavera P6 scheduling solution and Primavera Unifier enable a continuous tie to the project schedule to support work package prioritization based on the project schedule.
All relevant parties have access to the up-to-date accurate information they need to help ensure a constraint-free project.
Keep your projects on track by helping to ensure your crews can work constraint free.
