Subscribing to and Renewing Tracks

Track subscriptions are important to ensure access to Track Enablers and to maintain your Expertise.

  • To renew an existing track at the same time as your membership renewal, simply make sure that track is selected. You’ll be asked a few questions and the track renewal will be included with the membership renewal.
  • If you’re opting out of a track, simply deselect that track in your enrollment.
  • If you plan to subscribe to a new track or you’re not sure when you’re renewing your membership, once your OPN membership renewal is submitted, simply select Memberships > Tracks in the Oracle Partner Store to proceed.

Payment Type

Credit Card

In most countries, credit card is the standard accepted form of payment. When you submit your credit card payment, once your renewal is approved, there is no further action necessary. You’ll receive an invoice marked as paid and your renewed membership will activate on your renewal date.

Note: If credit card is not accepted in your country, it will not show up as a payment option and you’ll only see the Wire Transfer option.

Wire Transfer

If credit card is not accepted in your country, you will be provided the option to select Wire Transfer as your form of payment. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Once your enrollment is submitted, you’ll receive an Estimated Invoice with Oracle’s bank details. We recommend submitting your payment using this notification so payment can be processed quickly.
  2. If you need a formal, final invoice, your invoice will be sent to your Accounts Payable (Bill To) contact on or shortly after your new enrollment start date (this may take up to 72 hours). Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice.
  3. Once your renewal enrollment has been approved, and if that approval has occurred within your 90-day renewal period, your membership will be activated on your renewal date and set up with a new enrollment start date. This activation is contingent upon Oracle’s receipt of payment.
  4. If payment is not made immediately upon receipt of your invoice and Oracle is not able to recognize that payment in our system within 30 days following your new enrollment start date, your membership will be declined and recorded as expired.
  5. Recognition of payment may take up to 15 days. To help shorten this timeline, be sure to include a reference to your Enrollment Number on your wire transfer documentation.

Purchase Order

If your fee is over US$5,000, you may see the option to identify a Purchase Order (PO). Payment for OPN membership, tracks and other OPN elements is due upon receipt of your invoice. You may use a PO for your reference; however, the PO will not be recognized as payment received until Oracle fully receives and recognizes the funds in our bank. So, even if you issue a PO, please ensure timely payment.

Company Information and Compliance Verification

We’d like to remind you about a few things you may expect during your OPN membership renewal. It’s very similar to your initial enrollment except that now we do have some information about you. Below are a few reminders about the questions on the form and why we ask them:

Company Legal Structure

During your renewal, we'll ask what type of legal form your organization is. Depending on your response, we may need to point you to other options or request additional information for our review. Below are the available responses:

  • Publicly Traded Entity: Entity whose stock or equity interest is listed on an exchange or trading market. If 30% or more of your company is owned by a government or state-owned entity, please select “Government or State-Owned Entity”.
  • Private Entity: Private entity that is not traded on an exchange or trading market, such as an LLC, SA (Société Anonyme), SARL (société à responsabilité limitée), or partnership.
  • Government or State-Owned Entity: An entity that is owned partially or in whole by a national, state, or local government. This includes publicly traded companies that are 30% or more is owned by a government or other state/government-owned entity.
  • Individual or Sole Proprietor / EURL: OPN is not set up for this type of structure, so if you select this option you will be asked to get started through the Oracle Developer Resource Center or Oracle University Learning options.
  • Other: Such as Charity, Non-Profit Organization, Membership Association, or other type of entity not listed above. If you select this option, we'll need you to provide additional information about the legal form of your organization, its ownership, oversight, and management. Also, please note, there might be a slight delay in processing your enrollment as we verify your details.

Oracle's Partner Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

It's important to us that every one of our partners is aligned with our core values. Please read through the Partner Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. During your renewal we'll need you to confirm that you have reviewed this.

Confirmation of Ethical Company Behavior

Oracle's reputation and success, as well as your own, depend upon the commitment that you make to uphold Oracle's values of trust, integrity, and honesty. We're sure you'll understand that because of this we'll need you to confirm the following statements about your company.

  • No officers or shareholders of my company were previously employed at a company that was terminated by Oracle PartnerNetwork.
  • Within the last 5 years, my company and/or any company principals have not been convicted for or reached a settlement or other government resolution relating to violations of money laundering, fraud, embezzlement, or anti-bribery laws.
  • No majority or controlling shareholders, officers, or sales teams involved in Oracle transactions currently hold or have in the past 7 years held public or government office.

If you cannot confirm, we’ll need you to provide details for a company representative that Oracle can contact about this matter, as well as any supporting documents.

Oracle Employee Involvement in Your Company

Lastly, with regards to Oracle employee involvement in your company, if any of the statements below apply to your company, please be prepared to explain and/or provide the name of the individual(s) involved, their job title(s), dates of employment at Oracle, and office location where individual(s) worked while at Oracle.

If you cannot confirm, we’ll ask you to provide an explanation and the contact details for a company representative that Oracle can contact about this matter.

Your majority or controlling shareholders, officers, and sales teams involved in Oracle transactions:

  • are not current Oracle employees and have not been Oracle employees within the last 3 years
  • do not have any family relations with current Oracle employees

Terms & Policies

We'll need someone authorized by your company to accept the OPN membership terms. We recommend that you review the terms and policies prior to initiating your renewal, so you can determine who will be finalizing your enrollment. Also, you’ll have the option to accept the terms online or choose instead to download and print the terms, sign and then return the signed agreement.

Companies with Subsidiaries – Principal/Associate Actions

Actions for Principals with Associates

As the Principal entity, you will be agreeing to the OPN terms and setting up your company’s overall OPN membership. Here are a few follow up steps:

  1. If your company already has Associate entities enrolled as OPN members, during your renewal, you will be asked if you’d like to preapprove your Associates. When you opt to preapprove them all at once, you will not need to approve each one as their enrollments are submitted.
  2. Once you submit your enrollment, you may remind your Associates to submit their enrollments (note, each Associate will receive an email reminder to renew as well)
  3. If you have not opted to preapprove Associates, watch for your notification to approve your Associates’ affiliation with your company’s membership and make sure you submit your approval on a timely basis (note, this may be done while your enrollment is pending)

Please keep this timing in mind when planning your renewal to make sure you give your entire company time to complete the process well before your membership end date.

Actions for Associates to a Principal OPN Member

Associates may apply for renewal once the Principal entity has submitted their enrollment. This may be done at any point during your renewal period. The steps to renew your OPN membership are the same as above except:

  1. You’ll select “Associate” as your membership type
  2. Instead of agreeing to the OPN terms, you’ll note that your membership is governed by the terms and conditions agreed to by your Principal entity
  3. You’ll submit your own payment details
  4. If your Principal’s Partner Administrator has preapproved your enrollment, once your enrollment is approved by Oracle, your renewal will be activated when your Principal’s renewal is active
  5. If your enrollment is not already preapproved, your Principal’s Partner Administrator will be requested to approve your association with their OPN membership. Once approved, your enrollment will go through the standard processing steps

Resuming a Paused Enrollment

During the membership renewal enrollment process, if you to need to pause for any reason, you may save your unfinished enrollment and continue later. To resume a saved enrollment:

  1. Sign in to the Oracle Partner Store (OPS), select Memberships > OPN Membership
  2. Search for the unfinished/saved enrollment
  3. Click “Resume” to continue and submit

OPN Membership Lapse

Ensuring you have no lapse in OPN membership is important to maintaining business continuity. Access to benefits and enablers, Expertise validity, and other program elements and agreements are contingent upon your being a current, valid OPN member.

If something came up and you were not able to renew your membership during the 90-day renewal period prior to your renewal date, there are a few actions you may take when you go to Memberships > OPN Membership on the Oracle Partner Store. The action depends on what triggered the lapse and on the length of time it’s been since your last membership end date.

  1. Lapsed up to 1 year: If you did not submit your renewal during the renewal period, you will still be able to select “Renew” up to 1 year after your last OPN Membership End Date. Your benefits will have lapsed during this time and will reactivate in conjunction with your new membership start and end dates.
  2. Renewal declined: If you applied for renewal but your payment was not received, your renewal will have then been declined. In this case, you will not see the Renew option. You will need to select “Apply” to initiate a new enrollment.
  3. Lapsed more than 1 year: If it has been more than 1 year from your last OPN Membership End Date, you will need to select “Apply” to initiate a new OPN membership enrollment.

Manage Program Elements, Addenda or Agreements Tied to Your Membership

When you renew your OPN membership, you are agreeing to the then current OPN terms and you will have a new membership term date. You may have other program elements that also need attention during your renewal period. Below are a few considerations:

  • Oracle Demonstration Services Addendum – This addendum is tied to your OPN membership, so once you renew your membership, make sure you execute this addendum to continue accessing demo.oraclecloud.com.
  • Oracle SaaS Demonstration Instance – This OPN element is available to partners subscribed to the Cloud Build Track, Cloud Service Track or the Industry Healthcare Track, and the renewal date for this instance coincides with your OPN membership renewal date. Once you renew your OPN membership, make sure you renew your SaaS Demonstration Instance.
  • Go-to-Market Agreements – Go-to-market agreements such as the Master Distribution Agreement and any associated addenda are contingent upon having a current, valid OPN membership. Although the term end date may not be the same as the OPN membership renewal date, it’s important that you pay attention to the term end dates of these agreements and that you execute them in a timely manner.
