MXstore is Australia’s largest online store for dirt bike parts, tools, and accessories. After initially hosting its warehouse and ecommerce applications on AWS, MXstore shifted to Google Cloud Platform due to cost concerns. However, the company encountered recurring performance issues, system instability, and inadequate support. After a successful proof of concept, MXstore migrated its systems to HeatWave MySQL on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and achieved faster performance while cutting spending. Queries that took up to 20 seconds on the previous environment are now completed in less than 100 milliseconds with Heatwave MySQL on OCI, resulting in a 200X performance acceleration.
