Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance Plug-ins on Solaris 10

The following ZFS Storage Appliance plug-ins are no longer supported and are provided on an as-is basis only:

  • Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance Network File System Plug-in for Oracle Solaris Cluster, v1.0.5 for Solaris 10
  • Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance Plug-in for Oracle Solaris Cluster Geographic Edition, v1.0.10 for Solaris 10

After December 2021 these plug-ins will have reached End of Life and will no longer be available for download.

End of Features (EOF) for the Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.4 Release

This section lists features that are no longer available in the Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.4 release.

  • Support for Apache Tomcat, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in Failover Zones
  • Support for configuration of the following high availability (HA) agents (data services) within a failover zone will not be available in a future release of Oracle Solaris Cluster software:

    • Apache Tomcat
    • MySQL
    • PostgreSQL

    You can instead configure the HA agent for Apache Tomcat, MySQL, or PostgreSQL in either of the following ways for high availability at the application level:

    • In the global zone
    • Inside a zone cluster

    Support for these applications in a scalable service will not be affected.

  • Support for Oracle Availability Suite
  • Oracle StorageTek Availability Suite (AVS) will not be available in a future release of Oracle Solaris, and when it is removed the support for AVS in Oracle Solaris Cluster and Oracle Solaris Cluster Geographic Edition will become obsolete.

    At that time, support for AVS will be removed from Oracle Solaris Cluster software.

  • Legacy (original) administrative command set
  • The original Sun Cluster administrative command set, including commands with the prefix "sc", might no longer be supported in a future release. In addition, features added after the introduction of the newer object-oriented command set might not be available in the original command set.

    To ensure access to all available features, use the object-oriented command set, which includes commands beginning with the prefix "cl".

This section lists features that are no longer available in the Oracle Solaris Cluster 4 release.

  • cconsole
  • The cconsole utility has been removed. The Oracle Solaris pconsole utility can be used instead.

  • Support for Oracle Grid Engine
  • The HA for Oracle Grid Engine data service (agent) has been removed.

  • Support for Sun Java System Application Server EE (HADB)
  • The HA for Sun Java System Application Server EE data service (agent) has been removed.
