VPAT® Version 2.0 - October 2017
This is a new version of Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.x, for Oracle Solaris 11.
Oracle Solaris Cluster provides two user interfaces. The principal UI is the command-line interface (CLI) which provides access to all features of the product including installation and configuration. Since version 4.2 the product includes a browser-based Graphical User Interface (GUI). The GUI provides access to most daily management operations of the core product, but not yet to the complete CLI feature set. In version 4.3 the GUI has been extended to enable creation/configuration of a cluster, support for the Geographic Edition disaster-recovery orchestration feature as well as extended wizard support for the Oracle OVM server for SPARC, and Oracle Solaris zone agent. It also includes the wizard for installation.
The 4.3 release also contains minor bug fixes and the following additional new features:
This VPAT applies to only version 4.3. It does not apply to any versions of Oracle Solaris Cluster after this. This VPAT has been superseded by Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.4.
This VPAT does not cover the following product areas:
For the CLI the normal Solaris/shell accessibility configuration steps are appropriate.
The 4.3 GUI (official name "Oracle Solaris Cluster Manager") allows turning on/off accessibility user modes for Screen Reader, High Contrast and Large Font at the session level by Clicking on "Accessibility" from the main screen's top menu bar. Products listed are the versions available at thetime of publication of this document; newer documents may be available that supersedethese versions.
Oracle's policy is to design, develop and test both products and documentation to be accessible. The recommended styles of testing for accessibility include: (i) algorithmic automated tests, (ii) human judgement tests such as tool-assisted tests, visual inspection and manual operation, and (iii) testing with assistive technology by people with and without disabilities. Additional information about Oracle's accessibility program is available on http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/accessibility/index.html
