Name of Product: StorageTek Tape Analytics (Release 1.0)Last Updated: 15-Dec-2011This VPAT applies to only version 1.0. It does not apply to any versions of StorageTek Tape Analytics after this. StorageTek Tape Analytics (STA) is a product which helps customers assess performance, utilization, issues, and other aspects of automated tape libraries, tape drives, media, and other tape-library-related components. For Release 1.0, there are three user-visible interfaces covered by this VPAT: The STA Installation process, The STA backup commands, and the STA Browser-based User Interface (BUI). The online documentation is also covered. The STA Installation process can be performed using a dialog-based wizard. Alternatively for an accessible installation the process can be run in "console mode", which presents the process serially in text only form on a computer terminal or terminal emulator. The STA Backup commands are administrator-focused commands presented as a terminal based command line interface (CLI). For an accessible usage, that CLI provides serial, text-only interaction for configuring backup parameters. The STA BUI can provide content that is optimized for screen reader users; the "accessibility mode" option can be set to "screen reader" in the application's Accessibility Options. It can provide content that is optimized for users who leverage platform high-contrast capabilities; the "high-contrast" option must be selected in the application's Accessibility Options. To view content in large font that works in conjunction with browser zoom, the "large-fonts" option should be set in the application's Accessibility Options. These options can all be dynamically specified on a per-user basis. The information provided in this VPAT applies when the relevant mode is enabled for each applicable technical standard. The STA BUI makes use of some ADF DVT components (for Data Visualization) which are Adobe Flash-based. When "screen reader" mode is selected, those components render as rich tables (rather than as a graphic image), presenting a breakdown of the data in textual format. These tables are a "screen-readable" and accessible presentation of the ADF/DVT Flash components. For the STA BUI, two methods:
Any mode(s) selected are recorded in the product's database for that user, so that they are in effect each time that user logs in. For STA Installation, a user executes the installation in "console" mode. The information below describes this product's ability to support the applicable U.S. Section 508 standards, subject to Oracle's interpretation of those standards and the remarks in this document. Header markup is not used for formatting effects (such as font size), but rather for hierarchical purposes on the screens. Some screen content areas do not contain sufficient headers to allow efficient hierarchical navigation. User may use serial navigation (less efficient) in these cases. |
1194.22(p) When a timed response is required, the user shall be alerted and given sufficient time to indicate more time is required. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | There are no automatic updates in the product. There are no "operational" time limits within the product (i.e. those that give the user a limited, well-defined time in which to respond/act). There are several "overall" time limits (e.g. idle-period timeouts). These are user settable. |
