Imperial College London, one of the world’s leading universities, is adopting Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to streamline finance and HR processes and support its goal to deliver excellence in research and education. With Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Imperial can increase productivity, reduce costs, improve controls, and enhance employee experience as it develops people and skills that meet the needs of a changing world.

Established in 1907, Imperial is a world-leading university for science, technology, engineering, medicine and business. To continue providing high-quality services to its 8,000 staff and 22,000 students annually, the university needed to replace its ageing on-premises systems and eliminate manual processes. After a thorough review, Imperial selected Oracle Cloud ERP to standardise, simplify, and automate finance and Oracle Cloud HCM to support workforce management.

“To ensure that Imperial continues to deliver world-class education, research and professional services, we needed to move our organisation to the cloud with the right technology enabler,” said Emma Leeming, ERP Programme Director at Imperial. “Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications will enable us to adopt a platform that optimises processes, expands insights, improves decision-making, and frees up capacity within our workforce to support our plans for growth to benefit our staff and students.”

With Oracle Cloud ERP, Imperial can automate finance processes to increase efficiency and enhance financial controls. Additionally, Oracle Cloud HCM will allow Imperial to improve the employee experience, generate better workforce insights, and provide a consistent approach to HR management across the company. Finally, Oracle’s quarterly update cycle also gives Imperial access to continuous innovation as new features and AI enhancements are added to further improve efficiency.

“To continue its long tradition of excellence in higher education, Imperial needed to expand business insights and find a new level of efficiency,” said Guy Armstrong, senior vice president of applications, Oracle UK and Ireland. “With Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, the university has gained a complete suite of financial and HR capabilities with advanced AI, analytics, and automatic updates to help its teams increase productivity, expand insights, and deliver better services to its staff and students.”

The implementation will be undertaken by Namos Solutions.
