Managing Extensions

The Extensions pages allow you to manage the extensions that are installed on an OEDQ server.

For more details about writing extensions for OEDQ, such as new data store connection types (db connectors), new processors (widgets), matching extensions (gadgets) or selection functions, see the topic Extending OEDQ.

To install a new extension, browse for the jar file on your local file system and upload it to the server.
To delete one or more extensions, select them in the list and click on Delete selected extensions. Note that you should only delete an extension if it is no longer used in any projects. Any configuration that uses an extension will be invalidated if it is deleted.

Note that the OEDQ application server does not need to be restarted when a new widget is installed. Refreshing or restarting the client application will provide access to the widget. The application server does need to be restarted for new gadgets and database connectors to be usable, however.
