The Workflow Administration section of Case Management Administration allows you to create, edit, copy, import, export and delete workflows.
To open the Workflow Administration dialog, double click on the "Workflow Administration" option in the main screen of Case Management Administration:
The Workflow Administration dialog provides a list of the defined workflows:
From this screen, you can:
To create a new workflow, press the "New..." button. The Workflow Editor will open.
To edit an existing workflow, select it by clicking on it in the list of workflows and press the "Edit..." button. The Workflow Editor will open.
To create a copy of an existing workflow, press the "Duplicate..." button. The Workflow Editor will open.
You must specify a name for your new copy of the workflow. At the same time, you may also specify any changes to the workflow that you require.
To export a workflow definition, click on the name of the workflow and press the "Export" button.
You can choose to save your export to the OEDQ landing area, in which case you only need to supply a file name, or to save it in a location of your choosing, in which case, you must browse to the appropriate location and supply a file name:
The workflow will be exported. If the workflow uses dynamic permissions, they will also be exported along with the workflow.
To import a workflow, press the "Import" button.
You can choose to import from the OEDQ landing area, in which case you only need to supply a file name, or from a location of your choosing, in which case, you must browse to the appropriate location and supply a file name:
The workflow will be imported. If the import file includes dynamic permissions, they will also be imported along with the workflow.
If the workflow specified by the import file has the same name as one that already exists, you will be asked if you want to overwrite it. If the import file includes one or permissions with the same keys as permissions which already exist, the existing permissions will not be overwritten.
Note:Workflows can only be imported successfully if they were exported from the same version of OEDQ as you are using to import them. |
To delete a workflow, click on the name of the workflow and press the "Delete" button. You will be asked to confirm the operation before the workflow is deleted.
Note: It is possible to delete a workflow that is in use. |
