1. Q: What is the recommended driver version for my system?

A: Please check with your hardware vendor for the appropriate version.

2. Q: Where does one download the Broadcom drivers?

A: Download the Broadcom bnx Solaris drivers at the Broadcom NetXtreme II Drivers page.

3. Q: What specific devices are covered by the Broadcom drivers in the Solaris OS (default)?

A: Please check out the Solaris for x86 Device Support Page for this documentation.

4. Q: How does one install the Broadcom driver over the Solaris (default) driver?

A: At Solaris installation one can use a ITU image made available by Broadcom's driver download. One may also remove the existing bnx package after Solaris is installed and pkgadd Broadcom's driver.

5. Q: The empty bnx package in the Solaris 10 08/07 OS has issues with ITU. How does one work around this?

A: Issue a pkgrm of the bnx package prior to using the ITU. A updated ITU image should be made available for download by Broadcom in the near future which addresses this issue.
