Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Ready for Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Enabled)

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users
(Feature Delivered Disabled)

Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing.

User Experience

Eloqua's Redwood Experience

Explore Eloqua's New Redwood Experience

Redwood is the name of Oracle's next generation user experience. Redwood brings a consistent experience across Oracle products, and is now available for Eloqua in controlled availability (CA).

Once you've joined our CA program in, you'll be able to switch back and forth between the Redwood experience at any time from the Eloqua menu. Additional feature areas added with 23C include:

  • Settings Landing Page
  • Fields, Views, and Tracked Fields
  • External Activity Asset and Activity setup
  • Email Group Setup

It’s your chance to preview the latest in our Redwood Experience for an enhanced user experience. Leverage early access to the new user experience in order to update your own resources and training materials utilized internally.

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature you need to log a Service Request (SR).

Join the controlled availability program:

  • Opt-in by opening an SR (Service Request) with Oracle Support
  • Decide whether all users or only certain users can use the new Redwood experience

Tips And Considerations

  • Switch back and forth between the Redwood experience at any time from the Eloqua menu.
  • New feature areas added every release; if you're already part of the CA program, you'll be able to see the new enhancements when you toggle back and forth.

Key Resources

Access Requirements

Eloqua Admins must opt-in by opening an SR (Service Request) with Oracle Support.

  • Consistent behavior when an Eloqua Landing Page is added as a landing page or webpage link type
  • Add redirect tracking is disabled if a Landing Page is detected in the webpage URL field
  • Hover over text and link to help doc to clarify that Eloqua Landing Pages are tracked by default
  • Eloqua Landing Pages are tracked by default, no need to enable any tracking

Easier hyperlink management and redirect tracking.

Key Resources

Access Requirements

Developer Changelog

Bulk API Updates

External Activities are available to export via Bulk API - one of our top Dream It idea requests!

  • New Activity Type:
    • ExternalActivity
  • ExternalActivity Fields:
    • Activity.Id
    • Activity.Type
    • Activity.CreatedAt
    • Activity.ExternalAssetType
    • Activity.ExternalAssetName
    • Activity.ExternalActivityType
    • Activity.Campaign.Id
    • Activity.Contact.Id
    • Activity.ExternalId

Additionally, Bulk API definition deletion when App uninstalled has been added.

  • This applies to all Apps created using Eloqua's App Developer Framework, which includes the Salesforce Integration app. With that said, Eloqua created apps typically set the autoDeleteDuration to 2 days on definitions, so this should have little to no impact on Eloqua created apps as they typically clean up definitions proactively.
  • This change only impacts apps that you no longer want to use, and cleans up unneeded data in the case you uninstall an app and do not reinstall that same app within 7 days

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
