Eloqua's Redwood Experience

Explore Eloqua's New Redwood Experience

Redwood is the name of Oracle's next generation user experience. Redwood brings a consistent experience across Oracle products, and is now available for Eloqua in controlled availability.

With 23D, the Redwood Experience switch directly within the Eloqua platform is now available to all users!

  • Use the side menu to switch between the Redwood Experience and classic screens
  • Opt-in no longer required
  • Campaigns Launch Pad has been added as a new feature area with this release

Analytics

New Deliverability Reports

Two new out-of-the-box reports are being added to Eloqua Insight:

  • Delivery Rate Analysis
    • This report provides a summary of key deliverability metrics to help analyze trends by ISP
    • Features aggregated ISP data by month and weekly trends
  • Deliverability Overview by ISP
    • Gain deeper insights into campaign and email metrics by ISP,  to optimize your email marketing strategies
    • Hard bounceback and bounceback rates that surpass recommended deliverability thresholds are shown in red

Reporting API - CA Program Enhancements

New endpoints and enhancements released to Reporting API Controlled Availability program members:

Permission Control

Oracle’s Zoom App for Eloqua

Oracle's own Zoom App for Eloqua is now available in Controlled Availability

  • Register your audience for Zoom webinars and meetings
  • Collect audience members from Zoom who have registered or attended a webinar or meeting
  • Insert a Zoom webinar or meeting link into an email or landing page

The Oracle Eloqua Zoom app provides the following features:

  • An action on Eloqua canvases to register contacts for a Zoom webinar or meeting.
  • A feeder for Eloqua canvases that retrieves attendees and registrations for a specified Zoom webinar or meeting.
  • A content service for emails and landing pages that pulls the link for a specified webinar or meeting.

Guided Campaigns App for Eloqua

New Multi-Step Nurture Tactic

  • Up to 5 email steps
  • Email Response (Email Clicked through) will get the next email after n days up to max emails
  • Non Responders will get the new email in m days up to max emails
  • Support for drip style or single campaign

New Event Promotion Tactic

  • Create a multi-step event promotion campaign with multiple emails and a pre-existing form registration page

Eloqua Webhook App

Launched in controlled availability in 23C. Additional participants are welcome to request access.

New after 23D: Eloqua CDO support (Dec 15, 2023 with 23.12 Apps Release)

Initial features for the new Eloqua Webhook App included:

  • Outbound data flow
  • Push Eloqua Contact data to 3rd parties from Eloqua Campaigns or Programs (POST requests)
  • Multiple webhook configurations
  • Test the webhook configuration before enabling it

Now accepting wave #3 users - download link and related instructions will be sent to registered users after Nov 20, 2023.

Campaigns and Programs

Canvas Exit History Auto Shutoff

Canvas Exit History will be disabled for each Canvas if for the last 30 days the average daily exit volume is above 1 million

  • When Canvas Exit History is disabled:
    • “Exit Report Disabled” message will appear next to the Refresh button when opening the Exit Report
    • “ExitHistoryDisabled” Audit Log entry will be created
  • Canvas Exit History auto shut off will prevent service interruption and slowness

Custom Objects

Custom Objects Delete Estimation

  • New button “Estimate Deletion Count” added to “Delete All Custom Object Records” and “Delete All Unmapped Custom Object Records” menus
  • Clicking the button will estimate the number of records that are included with the current deletion selection.
  • The estimation total will include read only records, which will be detailed in the count
  • Note – This is an estimation based on the current selection, changes to records or newly created records that match the criteria may change the final deleted amounts

Custom Objects Delete By Date

  • New selection added to both “Delete All Custom Object Records” and “Delete All Unmapped Custom Object Records”
  • Selection to either delete all records, or delete all records based on created date is available
  • Can be filtered by On, Before, After or Between two dates
  • The user time zone will be used for the date selection

Engage

Engage Maximum Recipients Enabled

  • Recipient limits manage how many recipients a sales user can add to an Engage email
  • Recipient limits are now enabled for all app installs by default
  • If you had no limits previously, the limit now defaults to 250 recipients
  • You can customize this setting to meet your needs!

NOTE: Recipient default change available with the Apps 23.10 release (Oct 20, 2023)

Engage Editor Refresh

Engage will have a streamlined message editor view for your sales users

  • Refreshed field merge and signature field token appearance
  • Simplified editable content / locked content view

We're also refreshing the editing toolbar within Engage

  • Refreshed font list to align with Eloqua
  • Pixel based font sizing
  • Clear formatting control
  • Strikethrough control

Microsoft Outlook Add-in Auto Update

Oracle Eloqua Sales Tools for Microsoft Outlook add-in being updated to support dismissing “Send Pictures with Document” dialog.

  • Add-in will automatically update, and users can continue to use Outlook during the update
  • If your IT department wants to manage the release, a mass deployment is required before the release contact support for details on mass deployment

NOTE: Auto update available with the Apps 23.12 release (Dec 15, 2023)

Forms

Form Spam Protection Customizations

  • Form Spam Protection will allow for customization of parameters for the spam detection
  • Minimum Form Submit Time can be adjusted per form to optimize spam detection based
    • Default is 3 seconds
    • Can be adjusted between 1 and 5 seconds depending on expected pre-population speed or form length
  • Custom Honey Pot Field Name can be set to allow a custom html name for the honeypot field
    • Can be set per form, avoiding a standard field across all forms
    • Must not be a field currently existing on the form

Auto Click Protection for Blind Forms

  • Auto Click Protection for Blind Forms can be enabled when form spam protection is enabled for a form
  • When enabled this feature will check blind form submissions for the form, and if an auto click is detected the submission will be marked as spam
  • The spam submission will not trigger the processing steps, and will be visible within the “View Spam Data” report as “EmailAutoClick”

Simplified Eloqua Login

Introducing a new single URL for all login methods: https://login.eloqua.com/sitelogin

  • Optional to use  – you decide when and if to use
  • One URL for all workflows and simplifies Eloqua integrations like Sales Tools or CRM integrations

User login data now processed inside your geographical Pod location

Eloqua redirects the login flow

  • User redirected to SSO screens or Eloqua login based on your instance set up

NOTE: It was initially expected the new URL would be available for use as of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, the new date is now set for November 21, 2023.

Salesforce Native SSO Integration

Access to the native Salesforce SSO setup tab has been modified

  • This tab relied on the deprecated Salesforce native CRM integration
  • Only customers with an existing native SSO integration can access this tab
  • All other customers must set up their SSO integration with Salesforce using the Identity Provider setup instead

Oracle Sales App Enhancements

Imports > Add support for 2nd-level Oracle Sales Objects

  • Single Top Level related and multiple 2nd level records:
    • Sync Oracle Sales Lead to Eloqua Contact, where Sales Lead records have multiple Products. Configure the import to sync Oracle Sales. Product records to Eloqua CDO.
  • Single Top Level related and single 2nd level record:
    • Sync Oracle Sales Lead to Eloqua Contact, where Sales Lead records have the ID of the related Opportunity record

Sync Eloqua Activities to Oracle Sales

  • Requires Oracle Sales Redwood UX (User Experience)
  • Five Eloqua Activities are supported: Email Send, Email Open, Email Clickthrough, Form Submit and Web Visit
  • By default, scheduled syncs run every 15 minutes
  • Only new activities will be synced to the Oracle Sales
  • Will appear in Oracle Sales Contact, Lead or/and Opportunity view in CX Sales
  • Converted Opportunity will include all Marketing Activities from the source Lead

NOTE: Will be available as controlled availability functionality and will require opening an SR to request access. Available with the Apps 23.11 release (Nov 17, 2023). Oracle Sales was formerly called CX Sales.

Salesforce App Enhancements

Imports > Sync Salesforce values to an existing Eloqua lookup table

  • Eloqua Salesforce Native Integration Parity functionality
  • Eloqua Lookup Tables help marketers to define a mapping between different data types (GUIDs, numerical, text, etc.), which can later be linked with an update rule and integrated into a data processing program.

  • Application API Campaign endpoints will now include campaignClassification at minimal depth
  • Application API canvas create and update endpoints will now return a more detailed validation error when evaluateNoAfter is not valid
  • Application API Retrieve an email endpoint will now return the destination links for Email Components within the htmlContent properties html and htmlBody when the noMergeContent query parameter is set to false
  • Application API Form endpoints to include new properties when form spam protection is enabled and isFormSpamProtection is set to “true”:
