Notice About Obsolete Tables in Oracle Fusion Applications

Oracle Fusion Applications tables that were obsoleted in the past releases will no longer be available starting the next quarterly release. Read this document to identify the impacted tables and the release in which they were obsoleted so that you can plan your development tasks accordingly.

Extensibility

Configure Page Entries to Open VB Studio Pages in the VB App UI

While creating or editing a page entry using the Structure work area, you can now link the page entry to open VB Studio pages in the VB App UI. You need to select the link type as VB Studio Page and specify the details for the VB App UI and VB Page Name fields.

Updated Oracle Visual Builder Studio

Here are some key things you can now do to extend your application pages using Visual Builder Studio:

  • Navigate from fragments and layouts in your App UI to another App UI using the Navigate action in an action chain.
  • View the extendable items of the fragment in the Properties pane of a fragment on the Page Designer tool.
  • Provision your VB Studio instance in an Oracle Cloud account. By default, a VB Studio instance is provisioned with your first Oracle Cloud Applications TEST instance that your organization's members can use to develop application extensions. If you wish to use VB Studio with a different Oracle Cloud Applications TEST or DEV instance, ask your help desk to log a service request so that we can delete the VB Studio instance associated with your current *-TEST instance, create a new one, and associate this new one to your preferred TEST or DEV instance.
  • Use the new variants of dynamic components based on JET’s Virtual DOM (VDOM) architecture that’s available in the Components palette.
  • Create input parameters right in the Events tab of the component's Properties pane to pass the component values to an action chain in a simplified way.
  • When a page requires an input parameter to load data, but a value isn't assigned to it, you can see a visual indicator of the missing input parameter.
  • By default, the categories in the Components palette are reordered and collapsed. To control this setting, you can use the new Expand All and Collapse All options in the palette menu.
  • You can use these improved capabilities in fragments:
    • Find where the fragment is consumed and readily navigate to the page using the new Usages property in the fragment's Properties pane.
    • Go directly to a fragment from the canvas using the new fragment Edit icon on the page canvas.
    • Use fragment in the right context and add custom icons using the settings available in a fragment's Properties pane as well as its Settings editor.

Reporting and Analytics

Deprecated and New BI View Objects in Oracle BI Cloud Connector

Business Intelligence View Objects (BIVOs) that are deprecated are no longer available for extraction using BI Cloud Connector (BICC).

If you use BICC to extract data from Oracle Fusion Applications Cloud, review the Deprecated and New BI View Objects spreadsheets to identify deprecated, inactive, and new BIVOs so that you can revise your BICC tasks to omit deprecated BIVOs and include new ones as appropriate.

User Experience

Updated Oracle ADF Desktop Integration Add-In

You can now download the latest version of the Oracle ADF Desktop Integration add-in, version 5.1.1.24695. Here are some key things you get with this version:

  • The add-in installer now uses Microsoft WebView2 as the preferred embedded web browser for all workbooks.
  • The AllowSingleSignOnUsingOSPrimaryAccount option is now enabled for WebView2 browser. This option may help you with Azure Active Directory Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • The add-in is now also available in the Vietnamese language.
  • A privacy statement is now added to the add-in installer.

Greek Language is Added to the Language Pack on Your Application

The Greek language is now added to the list of supported languages in the language pack. So, if activated, this language will appear as a language option on the General Preferences section of the Set Preferences work area.

Changes in the Hover Text of the User Image or Name Icon in the Global Header

In the 22D release, the hover text for the user image or name icon on the global header is updated to Settings and Actions.
