UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. Change in Number of Visible Advanced Filters for Managers in Workforce Compensation Plans
We've relaxed the limit of showing up to 50 Advanced Filters for managers in Workforce Compensation plans. You are now able to create up to 200 Advanced Filters for managers to view and use.
Lets administrators create more filters for managers to use within a Workforce Compensation plan.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Change in the Maximum Defaulted Column Width in Workforce Compensation Plans
You can now set the default column width for columns in the Performance, Promotions, Compensation and Detail Only task types to up to 500 pixels. Previously, this limit was 200 pixels.
Lets administrators set a column width that allows for a better view of data.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
This change only applies to the Performance, Promotions, Compensation and Detail Only task types.
View Multiple Component Info in the Manager Allocation Statistics Report
You can now view allocation statistics for more than one component in the Allocation Statistics manager report. You can find the report in the View reports section of the landing page in Workforce Compensation. Previously, this wasn't possible in the Allocation Statistics report.
After you access the report and select the Component list of values, you can see that it's now a selection list. You can choose to view all components that are of the same type (monetary, non-monetary), but you can't choose components of different types to show at the same time.
Lets people see a more comprehensive view of people who were compensated as a part of a compensation cycle.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
You see only those components that are of the same type (monetary or nonmonetary) at the same time. You can't mix types.
View Multiple Component Info in the Manager Workers Compensated Report
You can now view information about workers who were compensated during a plan cycle for more than one component in the Workers Compensated manager report. You find the report in the View reports section of the landing page in Workforce Compensation. Previously, this was not possible in the Workers Compensated report.
After accessing the report and selecting the Component list of values, you can see that it's now a selection list.
You can only see those components that are of the same type (monetary or non-monetary) at the same time. You can't mix types.
Indicate People's Performance Ratings Have Been Calibrated in a Workforce Compensation Plan
You can now use a new worksheet column to indicate a person's Performance Management Rating has been calibrated when using a Workforce Compensation Plan. Previously, you would have to create a user-defined column to do so.
The column has 3 values: Null, In review, Complete:
When you select Complete, you can't make any further updates to the person's Performance Ratings in the worksheet:
In plan setup, there's a new column in the Performance section of columns:
The new column has some standard general properties and has the ability to have role-based access configured:
We've also added a new report for Administrators in View Administration Reports:
When you select a value from the table in the report overview, the detail table is filtered. You can export this information for further review. For those people with a value of null this indicates that they don't have a performance document started or that they've not been reviewed.
Enables managers and administrators to see the calibration of worker's performance ratings.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- We haven't changed how Workforce Compensation retrieves Performance Ratings. You must start the documents to see the ratings.
- You can include the calibration Status in the audit trail.
- You can use the new column values in both dynamic calculations and alerts.
- The calibration status can be used to determine if ratings can be updated in the performance document. Refer to the 23D Performance Management What's New feature Prevent Updates to Calibrated Performance Ratings in Performance Documents for more details
Change in Global Model Behavior
You can now use data security to prevent administrators from taking action on people outside of their data security profile. Previously, this was not possible. To achieve this we've enhanced the Manage Workforce Compensation Global Models functional privilege to use the data security privilege Allocate Compensation Person Rate by Compensation Manager that is inherited by the Workforce Compensation Act as Proxy role. When using Global Models, people will only see the same managers they see when acting as proxy.
Allows for more secure use of Global Models.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
More information about which privileges are associated with Compensation pages can be found in Customer Connect here: Workforce Compensation UI to Privilege Security Map Rel13 22D
External Data: Allow Nonworker Person Assignment Types
Now you can load and manage external data for other person assignment types, such as contingent, pending, offer, and nonworker. We changed the External Data page, and the 3 load types of ADFdi, HDL and HSDL. You can also use the OTBI External Data Subject Area. Previously, only the employee type was supported by the application and loads. Now you can create external data for employee, contingent, nonworker or retirees.
People can now use external data for contingent workers, nonworkers and onboarding candidates.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Total Compensation Statement: Include People Who Became Inactive
You can now use the Total Compensation Statement batch process to retrieve people who became inactive within the statement period. Previously, the batch process selected only people who are active employees. The same limitation applied to the sample person selection choice in the Compensation Item Testers. Now the batch process selects all the employees who have active employee assignments within the statement period. The item testers also follow the same rule; the validation takes place for a period instead of an effective date. We changed the application pages for batch processes and item testers accordingly, so the selection of a person takes place for the period instead of an effective date.
Extend your total compensation statement population with the inclusion of people who became inactive within a statement period.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Redwood Experience New Filters For Review Proposed Progressions and Salary Updates Page
We added two new filters to the Review Proposed Progressions and Salary Updates overview page. Previously, you had the ability to filter by process name, grade ladder, grade ladder group, and error count. Now, you can also filter by process ID and submission date.
To filter by submission date, you can enter values in either or both of the From Date and To Date fields. This example shows results for the June 22 to 23 date range.
To filter by process ID, type a full or partial identifier to see a list of matching process IDs. Select one or more to filter the results. In this example, two process IDs were added to the filter. An additional partial process ID is entered in the search and the corresponding list shows all process IDs that contain the entered value. You can add the process ID to the filter by selecting from the list.
With these new filters, you can find relevant results more easily.
Steps to Enable
The Redwood Review Proposed Progressions and Salary Updates page was available with update 23C. If you already enabled the page, you don't need to do anything else. If you haven't yet enabled the page, review the What's New for 23C feature: Redwood Experience for Review Proposed Progressions and Salary Updates Overview Page.
Tips And Considerations
- In the Submission Date filter, if you leave the From Date field blank, you get all results up to and including the to date. If you leave the To Date field blank, you get all results on or after the from date.
- Enter at least three characters to search for a matching identifier in the Process ID filter.

Enhances your reporting abilities on the Salary subject areas for Grade Step Progression Eligibility.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
It is possible that the values in the column Include in Grade Step progression displays different values in the attributes coming from Worker, Assignment Details and Salary Details folders. This is based on the values defined at the worker assignment and grade ladders respectively. For example, consider an employee for whom the Include in Grade Step Progression is checked but Grade Ladder is null. The column 'Include in Grade Step Progression' from Assignment details or Worker displays the value as Y whereas from Salary details, it will be null.
