Column Definitions:
Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.
UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.
Ready for Use by End Users Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features. |
Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing. |

Analyze Subscription Trend Reports
You can use these subject areas to create Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reports required to analyze various subscription trends:
- Subscription Customer Trends Historical
- Subscription Product Trends Historical
- Subscription Customer Cohort Trends Historical
Using these subject areas, you can report on key metrics for subscription products, such as:
- Trend of Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) or Total Contract Value over time
- Net MRR change due to amendments and new, churned, or reactivated subscriptions
- Average revenue per customer
- Customer and MRR churn rates
- Net customer change based on churned, new, and reactivated customers
- MRR Renewal rate
- Cohort based revenue retention
In addition to the subject areas, you can also access prebuilt reports. You can also use new dashboards that have been built using these reports. Here are some samples of the dashboards:
'
You can use these subject areas and dashboards to track key subscription metrics that are essential to evaluating various subscription trends.
Steps to Enable
Leverage new subject area(s) by adding to existing reports or using in new reports. For details about creating and editing reports, see the Creating and Administering Analytics and Reports book (available from the Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Administration).

- See the "Configure Subscriptions" chapter in the Implementing Oracle Subscription Management guide.
Sync Replaced Assets from Asset Lifecycle Management to Subscription Management
When you replace an asset with another asset in Oracle Asset Lifecycle Management, the application automatically terminates coverage on the existing asset and covers the new asset in an included warranty.
Whenever an alternate asset is shipped, Oracle Asset Lifecycle Management creates an event for Subscription Management. This event is automatically interfaced with Subscription Management. You can access event details using the Reprocess Installed Base Updates page.
NOTE: Subscription Management only supports the one-to-one replacement of assets and associated asset components.
With this feature, you can automatically sync the replaced assets from Asset Lifecycle Management to Subscription Management.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
- See the "Introduction to Subscriptions" chapter in the Using Oracle Subscription Management guide.
Withhold Subscription Products from Activation
You can choose to exclude products when activating a subscription. You can click the Pending activation check box on the Edit Product page to select the subscription products that shouldn't be activated when you activate a subscription.
When you activate a subscription that has products with the Pending activation check box enabled:
- The subscription status changes to under amendment.
- The application assigns the draft status to products in the pending activation status. This enables you to make necessary changes to these products.
Subsequently, you can uncheck the Pending activation check box to activate these products.
You can use this feature to support:
- Partial fulfillment use cases wherein subscription products need to be activated as orders are fulfilled.
- Selective activation of subscription products based on their provisioning dates.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
- See the "Manage Subscriptions" chapter in the Using Oracle Subscription Management guide.
Interface Bill Lines from the Subscription
As a subscription administrator, you can use the Send Bill Lines to Receivables action on the subscription or subscription products page to directly interface bill lines to Oracle Accounts Receivables, instead of using a scheduled process.
You can enable the Sent Date field on the Billing Summary page. The field displays the date on which a bill line is sent to Account Receivables.
With this feature, you can directly interface the bill lines from Subscription Management to Oracle Account Receivables.
Steps to Enable
Leverage Application Composer to expose and adjust page layout and attributes. To learn more about extending your application using Application Composer, visit Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Configuration and Extension.
The Send Bill Lines to Receivables action is enabled by default. However, you can disable this action. Here are the steps to disable the Send Bill Lines to Receivables action:
- Sign in to the application as a setup user.
- Ensure you're working in an active sandbox with the Application Composer enabled.
- Click Navigator > Configuration > Application Composer.
- On the Application Composer page, select Objects > Standard Objects > Subscription > Pages.
- In the Details Page Layouts section, click Actions > Duplicate and click Save and Edit.
- On the Details Layout: Default custom layout page, click the Edit icon beside the Actions, Save, Save and Close, and Cancel fields.
- On Details Layout: Default custom layout: Buttons and Actions page move the Send Bill Lines to Receivables field from Selected Actions to the Available Actions section.
- Click Save and Close.
- Click Done.
Similarly, you can also disable the Send Bill Lines to Receivables action from the Subscription Product page.

- On Details Layout: Default custom layout: Subtab: Billing Summary page, move the Sent Date field from the Available Fields to Selected Fields.
- Click Save and Close.
- Click Done.
Extend Covered Levels and Entitlements Support for Party, Customer Account, and Party Site
Along with the asset and product covered level type, you can also create these covered level lines for a subscription coverage product:
- Party
- Customer account
- Party site
When you add these new covered levels to a subscription coverage product, you need to enter the price details manually. You can update the Number of Assets and Unit Price fields, as needed, to generate the billing schedule based on duration.
Along with the asset and product entitlement details, you can provide the party, customer account, and party site entitlement details.
The introduction of the new covered levels gives you more options to provide coverage for a subscription coverage product. You can now provide coverage at asset, product, party, customer account, and party site level.
Steps to Enable
The new covered levels are available by default in the covered level tab for a subscription coverage product. Here are the steps to provide entitlement information of new covered levels from Subscription Management.
- Sign in as a setup user.
- Go to the Subscription Management work area.
- On the Subscriptions landing page, click the Subscription Configuration tab.
- Click Manage Algorithms.
- Select the Get Subscription Entitlements row and click Actions > Create Version to create a new version of the base algorithm.
- Click the Get Subscription Entitlements link to edit the algorithm.
- On the Edit Algorithms: Get Subscription Entitlements page, select the Variables tab.
- Change the default value of EnableManualPricedCoveredLevel from False to True.
- Click Save and Close.
- From the Manage Algorithms page, click Actions > Publish.

Recognize One-Time Charges Periodically
You can use the Enable Periodic Revenue Recognition field to periodically recognize revenue for your one-time charges. When you enable this field for a one-time charge, the revenue for that charge is recognized over the duration of the subscription in Oracle Revenue Management Cloud.
If you close a subscription product with a periodically recognized one-time charge, the revenue recognition of this charge is accelerated in Oracle Revenue Management Cloud based on the close credit method you use. If you close a subscription product and issue a full credit, this one-time charge is recognized immediately on the subscription product start date. Alternatively, if you close a subscription product and use Prorate with credit or Prorate without credit as the close credit method, the one-time charge is recognized over the duration of the subscription until its termination date.
You can use this feature to enable periodic revenue recognition of your one-time charge, where this charge represents an advance payment for the performance obligations in the subscription that's satisfied later.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
- See the "Subscription Pricing and Billing" chapter in the Using Oracle Subscription Management guide.
Use Renewal Term for Automatic Renewals
In addition to using the Renewal Duration and Period fields to manually renew subscriptions, you can use the Use renewal term for automatic renewal check box in a subscription renewal template to automatically renew subscriptions.
Once you enable the Use renewal term for automatic renewal check box, the automatic renewal process uses the Renewal Duration and Period fields to determine the duration of a renewed subscription.
This feature provides you with additional flexibility in deciding the duration of your automatically renewed subscriptions.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
- See the "Configure Subscriptions" chapter in the Implementing Oracle Subscription Management guide.
Manage Subscription Approval Notifications
The application automatically sends a notification to the approver when a subscription is submitted for approval. The approver can use this notification to access the subscription approval page to view the subscription details and perform necessary actions.
Here are the actions you can perform as an approver:
- Approve
- Reject
- Request Info
- Submit Information
- Add Comment
- Add Attachments
- Add Assignee
- Delegate
- Reassign
- Withdraw
