Feature Summary

Column Definitions:

Features Delivered Enabled

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Ready for Use by End Users
(Features Delivered Enabled)

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features.

Action is Needed BEFORE Use by End Users
(Features Delivered Disabled)

Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing.

Data Collection

Redirect Tracking

Infinity now supports data collection using a new Redirect Tracking endpoint. You can use this endpoint to capture an event by linking to the tracking endpoint, which will then issue an HTTP redirect to send the user to a destination URL.

This feature enables lightweight link tracking, and other use cases in environments where deploying JavaScript tracking is not available; for example: emails, social media posts, and so on.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Web Form Tracking

Infinity now supports tracking interactions with web forms, notably form visibility, interaction, submission, and abandonment. The CX Tag Infinity module can be configured to capture these types of events when they occur for specific forms.

This allows you to track when users begin filling out a form, but then abandon it without submitting, in addition to other interaction scenarios with forms. This is a key use case for Infinity IQ, and we would like to give customers an easy, standardized way of implementing this kind of tracking.

General Enhancements

Updated Navigation Menu

Navigating Infinity features has a new and improved user experience. Leading up to the launch of the new Infinity IQ and Infinity Streams products, you'll start to see an introduction of Oracle's new user experience design language, starting with how you navigate to the different features in Infinity. Previously, you could navigate to different features by clicking the feature-specific icons in the top, right section of the branding bar.

Now you can navigate to a new navigation menu, that can be accessed from the top, left corner of your Infinity screen.

Clicking the top navigation menu opens a list of the features available to you.

This enhancements introduces a common navigation user experience that will be shared across all CX solutions. It also enhances navigation to Infinity features, and prepares for the upcoming launch of the new Infinity IQ and new Infinity Streams solutions.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

IP Address Augmentation Updates

Infinity has upgraded its dataset that is used for augmenting IP addresses with geolocation, network attributes, and so on.

The new dataset enables higher accuracy for IP address geolocation augmentation, and introduces several new parameters that can be used for more refined segmentation and analytics.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Key Resources

Visit our Help Center to review our parameter reference and geolocation parameters documentation.

Integrations

CORS Restrictions for Infinity APIs

Infinity APIs are now restricting CORS requests (containing an Origin header) to only certain hosts, which are configured in an allowlist.

This improves the security of the Infinity APIs and end-users.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
