The About pattern optionally provides basic details about the application, such as: Version, Contacts, Help, Details, Privacy Policy, End User Legal Agreement, and Copyright. Many of these items are linked away to from this page.

Appearance

Appearance characteristics for this pattern.

• Header: This displays the title of the About page, usually just 'About'.
• Logo: The applications logo may appear at the top of the About page.
• Version: The version number of this application is helpful and can display near the logo or separated from it.
• Contact Info: Contact information can be displayed on this page and includes: Email, Support, Feedback, Social Media, etc...
• Help: Links to online help, tips, tutorials, etc... can be displayed on this page.
• Privacy Policy Link: A link to Oracle's Privacy Policy is required here.
• EULA Link: A link to Oracle's End User License Agreement is required here.
• Copyright: This text will appear on this page.
• Grouping: Items on this page can be organized into logical groupings.

Behavior

Common behaviors for this pattern.

• Enter About: This can be accessed from Sliding Menu Springboard, Grid Based Springboard, Navigation Bar,  Navigation Menu, Toolbar or other options for accessing About.
• Leave About: Navigate back to previous page or navigate to another location (i.e. contact, privacy policy, etc...) on a page.
• Popup: A popup could display the About information. This is more common on tablet, it should be avoided on the phone.

• The About page should not be put under another top level section (i.e. Settings).
