Oracle Project Management Cloud
Generate Invoices for Each Project
Generate separate invoices for each project associated to a common contract line and bill plan. Configure the invoice grouping method on a contract bill plan to create a separate invoice for each project associated to the contract lines assigned to the bill plan. Consolidate separate contract lines and bill plans previously required for each project into a single contract line and bill plan.
Removal of Project Spaces and Document Library
The ability to create project spaces as a document library for projects will no longer be available in future versions of Oracle Project Management Cloud. This removal of functionality includes the ability to create and access project spaces from both the Project Financial Management and Project Management work areas. You need to move your existing documents out of project spaces so that you can continue to access them. This removal is effective as of Release 13, Update 20A and reflects a change across all of Oracle Cloud Applications using Oracle WebCenter.
Leverage Project Classifications for Workflow Approval
Configure your project status change and financial plan (budget and forecast) approval workflows using project classifications. You can use the new attributes to configure rules to conditionally route approval notifications.
Plan for Labor Resources with Variable Hours for a Single Assignment
Assign labor resources to projects with variable hours each day and repeat the weekly pattern for the entire assignment. For example, within a single assignment, a resource may work Mondays and Tuesdays for 8 hours each day, Thursdays and Fridays for 4 hours each day and not work any hours on Wednesdays.
Drill Down to Tasks, Issues, or Action Items from OTBI
Drill down from Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, or OTBI, to tasks, issues, action items, and change orders in the My Work work area. Add an action link on a column, such as task name, to enable the drill down using a deep link. A deep link is a URL to open a page without navigating through the application menu structure. Team members can easily navigate back and forth from the analysis to the application to review details.
Filter Tasks Based on Completed Predecessors
Filter to view your tasks that have predecessor tasks whose status is complete. The filter, Tasks with completed predecessors, enables you to identify and work on tasks that are no longer blocked by predecessor tasks.
Expedite Your Project Planning with a New User Experience
Easily schedule and manage your project plans in the new powerful user interface. This new high-performance user experience offers extensive drag and drop capabilities to efficiently manage task dependencies, reorganize your tasks, and fill down the task values to multiple tasks quickly. Project managers can take advantage of new visualization and scheduling capabilities, including displaying a progress line, viewing the tasks in a timeline format, identifying the critical path, scheduling summary tasks, and expanded support for milestone scheduling. In addition, project managers can see the same task dates in both financial plan and project plan on creating new financial project from Project Financial Management work area. These dates can act as the starting point for additional work planning and scheduling.
View Custom Fields from Application Composer in OTBI
View and report on custom fields from Application Composer for project resource requests, project issues, project deliverables, and backlog items in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, or OTBI, analyses. Add fields to meet your business requirements using Application Composer and then include these attributes in your reports.
Drill Down to the Project Management Work Area from OTBI
Drill down from Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, or OTBI, to project details in the Project Management work area. Add an action link on a column, such as project name or project number, to enable the drill down using a deep link. A deep link is a URL to open a page without navigating through the application menu structure. Project managers can easily navigate back and forth from the analysis to the application to review details. Drill down to the project plan, financial plan, work items, project calendar, project resources, resource requests, budgets, track financial project progress, forecasts, task exceptions, or change orders.
Track Financial Plan Version Approval Status
Track the status of your financial plan versions that you have submitted for review and approval or those that are already approved or rejected. This feature is not only applicable for budgets that are submitted for baseline and forecasts that are submitted for approval but also baseline budgets and approved forecasts. Using this feature, you can view the approver whose approval is pending for your financial plan version from the Manage Project Budget and Manage Project Forecast pages. You can also view the approval hierarchy and the actions pending or taken by the approvers.
Plan for Nonlabor Resources as Equipment with Different Units of Measure
Plan for nonlabor resources as equipment in your financial project plans, project budgets, and project forecasts using appropriate units of measure. You can define the desired units of measure on the expenditure types associated to your nonlabor resources that are classified as equipment in your planning resource breakdown structures. The planning lines for such resources will now have the unit of measures that are defined in the associated expenditure types as the default value in your financial project plans, budgets, and forecasts. This allows more flexibility for you to plan for your nonlabor resources in units of measure other than Hours, especially for resources that aren't rate based.
View Project Budgets and Forecasts at the Resource Level in a Real-Time Analysis
Analyze project budgets and forecasts at the resource level and report on budget and forecast costs and revenue at a resource level for financial projects with reports built using the Project Control - Budgets Real Time and Project Control - Forecasts Real Time subject areas. For example, you can include the Resource dimension from the subject areas in your reports and view project budget and forecast details for an expenditure type or all expenditure types for a project, or choose to drill down to view the resource-level details from a project budget or forecast report that lists multiple projects.
