Column Definitions:
Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.
UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.
Ready for Use by End Users Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features. |
Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing. |

Enabling Migration from an Existing Push Provider to Responsys Push
Migration from an existing Push provider to Responsys Push is now supported. It’s now possible to import device data for apps from an existing Push provider into an app channel list in Responsys. This is enabled through a new Connect job type: Import App Channel List Data. This Connect job enables new Mobile App channel customers to get started with launching Push campaign from Responsys faster.
This feature streamlines your onboarding to Responsys Push, because you will not need to wait for:
- Your mobile app to be updated with the Responsys SDK
- Your updated app to be published
- Adoption of your updated app by your mobile app users
During a typical onboarding to Responsys Push, device data starts flowing into Responsys only after you have updated the mobile app Responsys SDK and mobile app users have installed it. As device data for the mobile app users gets populated in the app channel list, marketers can start targeting them.
With this feature, you can launch Push campaigns without waiting for the typical process. You can import your key device data, such as device tokens, into Responsys. With this key device data in the system, you can then start launching Push campaigns to your current mobile app users.
Steps to Enable
To enable this feature you need to log a Service Request (SR).
In order to take advantage of this feature, the new Connect UI feature must be enabled.
Personalization Support for Push Notification Titles
We now enable Mobile app marketers to use extensive Personalization (RPL) in the Push Title field of Push Notification Campaigns. Previously, the maximum length of the Push Title field was 200 characters but now this limit has been relaxed to 2048 characters.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

When using the URL shortener service, Responsys now checks for the presence of profane words in short URLs against a predefined list. If there is a profane word, the short-name is regenerated.
By default, in any account using short URL service, the short-name part that is generated by Responsys is checked for profanity.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
If you would like to include the host-name to be part of the profanity check, log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request. If this is enabled, the profanity check will consider the host-name and short-name combination.

Responsys now supports Android app links. This enables email marketers to deep link Android end users in a standard, seamless, and secure manner into their Android apps. Similar to the existing support for Oracle Responsys iOS Universal Links, this feature enables the following:
- Responsys customers can link from a Responsys email campaign directly into their Android mobile app (if installed), using Android app links
- Achieve email-to-app deep linking on Android devices, while preserving click tracking and selective app deep linking (you choose which links in the email will open the app)
Steps to Enable
There are several pre-requisites that need to be put in place before you can use Responsys App Links.
- Have a branded domain set up with Responsys for link tracking (e.g. news.yourcompany.com)
- The branded domain needs to be HTTPS-enabled and the certificate needs to comply with Android’s App Security guidelines
- Get a Digital Asset Links JSON file on your branded domain
- Declare in your app that it will handle App Links for the branded domain and the pub web path (/pub/acc)
- Resolve the App Link by calling the SDK’s helper function or implementing resolver code in your app
You must also update their mobile app to the latest version of the Responsys Mobile App SDK v.6.42, available with the 19C Update.
Tips And Considerations
Important Note on iOS Universal Links:
If you have implemented the Oracle Responsys iOS Universal Links Solution you should be aware of the following once the Responsys19C update is live:
- it will be possible to receive a nil value for the mobileDeepLinkUrl parameter if your App resolves the Responsys Universal Link on its own as in the Oracle Responsys iOS Universal Links Guide.
- if your App is resolving the Responsys Universal Link with the PIORsysWebURLResolvedNotification notification as in Cross-channel Conversion Tracking, then notification.userInfo[PIOResolvedDeeplinkURL] can be nil.
Your App must be ready to handle this scenario once the 19C update is live. Please check with your iOS App Developers and confirm that the Universal Links implementation in your iOS App handles such a scenario.
Important Note on Android Cross-Channel Conversion Tracking:
If you have implemented the Responsys Cross-channel Conversion Tracking solution you should update your Android App as follows:
- ensure you declare an intent filter for your domain and the path android:pathPrefix="/pub/acc"
- ensure you do NOT declare an intent filter for your domain and the path android:pathPrefix="/pub/cc"
